Thought is born out of known-relationship. We know our brains are wired for safety and survival rather than happiness and satiation/satisfaction.
As we have evolved beyond the times of the Sabertooth tiger, those of us fortunate enough to live in areas and times of relative peace often find that are thinking is not contributing to our well-being and human connection. Why is this?
No consider another kind of intelligence...felt-relationship.. This type of intelligence on the other hand is born out of the living breathing and sensing body and nervous system not the past but the NOW.
In relational Bodywork we put the emphasis on the relationship, the relational quality, the experience of being in connection. , taught me that embodiment and being itself is born out of relationship. We have our relationship to our body, the planet and in the worm touch and Movement. Our primary relationships are our direct experience.
In a world where known-relationship, abstracted knowledge has been put on a pedestal and Rain‘s king I feel it is important to bring emphasis back to our felt sense, our felt relationship and the wisdom of thinking and feeling from the innate intelligence of the present moment this intelligent is alive, receptive and responsive. We are not more intelligent by focusing on choices made from our intellect alone. How can we be more intelligent by only operating from one of our faculties?
If you are inspired to support others and go on your own embodiment journey and get in touch with us and find out about our training programs, mentorship and supervision.
We have events for the public and practitioners.
Relational Bodywork is the meeting point between talk and touch with Somatic (body based) coaching and treatment models. In practice this means that we are person centred, operating in a collaborative co creation of personal leadership. If you are inspired to find out more DM us today and let’s start a conversation :-)
