Hello, and happy new year to everyone!
Thank you for your generosity. Here is an update to the Gofundme that was started. SouthernGal in Portugal has raised a total of 2505€ in its mission to find a home for its business via a food truck, or small cafe. We are a bit away from our goal, but I feel the drumbeat this year to do more fundraising to bring this dream to fruition.
Behind the scenes, I have been looking at several properties in the downtown and Bonfim area. I found one space in Boavista that I absolutely fell in love with, but the location was not accessible to my main clientele via public transit, and it lacked proper license for business I would like to offer the community. I go this weekend to look at a place that opened in downtown, within 2 minutes of my
apartment!
I’m often asked, “When are you going to open a restaurant?” Well, dreams require not only vision, but money. Along with my
mission to raise money through crowdfunding, I am open to working with potential investors who believe in my mission and have financial capital to soe into making it happen. My eyes and ears are open to whatever doors open.
Until then, I will continue to serve you with heart and soul from my kitchen. All good dishes start from scratch, and baking takes time. I don’t want to rush and make the wrong move. Trust until that time comes, money will stay secure until ready to use for it’s intended effort.
