Dear parents:
There have been a few new changes/updates in vaccinations for children and adults; mainly:
1- The introduction of a new pneumococcal vaccine (PCV20) which now replces the previous PCV13 (for children) and PPSV23 (for adults).
2- Human papilloma virus vaccine (HPV) is now highly recommended from the age of 11 years and covered by most insurances in the State of Qatar up to the age of 45 years.
3- Meningococcal vaccine (MenACYW135) is recommended for children from the age of 6 months
