Dorim, de asemenea, să ne exprimăm sincera recunoștință față de pacienții cu boli hepatice cronice și pacienții transplantați hepatic care au participat la întâlnirea „HepaHUB: Connecting with Our Patients – Your Health, Your Voice: Patient-Reported Outcomes in Liver Care”.

Prezența lor, deschiderea și curajul de a-și împărtăși poveștile personale au oferit un sens profund și o valoare reală acestei discuții importante. Prin faptul că și-au adus vocea și experiența trăită în prim-plan, ei ne ajută să înțelegem mai bine nevoile și prioritățile pacienților și să ne îmbunătățim abordarea clinică prin integrarea măsurilor raportate de pacient privind rezultatele (PROMs) și a măsurilor raportate de pacient privind experiența îngrijirii (PREMs) în practica hepatologică.

Contribuția lor a fost neprețuită și le suntem profund recunoscători pentru încrederea și implicarea lor.

The second part of our 3rd ROMANIAN FORUM OF METABOLIC HEPATOLOGY was truly inspiring and action-oriented.

Special thanks to Prof. Vlad Ratziu and Prof. Heiner Wedemeyer for their excellent and enriching talks.

It was wonderful to bring so many specialties under one roof, primary care, gastroenterology, hepatology, endocrinology, diabetology, cardiology, pneumology, ENT, nephrology, public health, researchers, patient advocates, policymakers and other key stakeholders, all united by the need to improve care for patients with MASLD.

A special highlight was Heiner Wedemeyer’s State of the Art Lecture on implementing the German SLD Registry, a true cornerstone for a national MASLD strategy.

This second part of the forum focused on the SRGH Position on MASLD as a public health threat in Romania and most importantly, on the need for action.
We hope that the position paper emerging from this multidisciplinary working session will help drive real change and become a foundation for coordinated national efforts in MASLD prevention, early detection, and integrated care.

Today we proudly opened the 3rd Romanian Forum of Metabolic Hepatology, an important scientific meeting dedicated to the growing challenges of MASLD and MetALD.
The event began with opening remarks from Prof. Gheorghe Liana, President of SRGH, Prof. Corina Pop, Vice-Dean of UMF Carol Davila, and Prof. Simona Dima, Scientific Director of Fundeni Clinical Institute.
The first part of the program offered a remarkable scientific journey through the epidemiology, phenotypes, diagnosis, risk stratification, pathogenesis, therapeutic perspectives and social barriers surrounding MASLD. We were honored to continue with the State of the Art Lecture by Jeffrey Lazarus, followed by excellent discussions on research, innovation, AI, new therapies, MetALD and multidisciplinary patient care.
Special thanks to Nancy Reau, Ines Mega and Jeffrey Lazarus for being with us and for sharing their expertise, vision and support.
Thank you to all colleagues and friends who made this beginning so meaningful. We look forward to a Forum full of ideas, collaboration, and action for better liver health.
