Today, I had the honour of looking after a beautiful funeral service in Enfield, at Parohia Sf. Gheorghe, the Romanian church in Enfield.
The service continued at Edmonton Cemetery, where family and friends gathered to say their final goodbyes. As always, my focus was on supporting the family, respecting Romanian traditions, and making sure every detail reflected the wishes of their loved one.
One of the most meaningful moments today was fulfilling the deceased’s last wish: having a bagpiper play at the funeral. Hearing the music echo through the cemetery was incredibly emotional and created a truly memorable farewell.
Organising funerals for the Romanian community in the UK is a responsibility I take to heart. Every family deserves compassion, understanding, and someone who can help them navigate the process while honouring their culture and traditions.
May the departed rest in peace.
If you ever need guidance or support in organising a Romanian funeral in the UK, I am here to help with care and respect.
