HOW TO HELP:
When it comes to education, government schools are built based on the financial resources of the surrounding areas. Since this village is so poor, the government will not build a school nearby and the people of this area do not have resources to send their kids to private schools. Under the circumstances, the kids in this village have no access to education. The pastor and his wife were also moved by these childrens' situation and turned their church into a nursery school for these children, paying for almost everything out of their pockets and donations (teachers, uniforms & supplies). As a monthly fee for this school, they request that parents of these children give RWF 300 (approximately $0.50) but many parents cannot even afford that. It is the couple's hope that each and every one of these children will have access to education and will be equipped with the tools to raise themselves out of such poverty. They are hoping that through sponsorship, these children will be given access to education, uniforms, medical care and daily meals. Through sponsorship, kids 6 years and older will be given access to education to private schools nearby once they pass nursery school certification because they will be old enough to make the walk. Those younger than 6 years of age will be attending the nursery school that the pastor and his wife has established because the children are too young to walk to the closest nursery. When it comes to sponsorship, it is approximately $100 per term and there are 3 terms per year. As of right now, finances are handled through https://www.worldremit.com/. This is a website where you can securely send money directly to Pastor Venancia and she can pick it up at any UAE Exchange bank here in Kigali. Below is a step by step process on how you can donate and make sure it gets to Pastor Venancia:
Simply click on the link below. At the top where it says "Send from:" click your country's name. Then click "Send to" and make sure it says Rwanda. In the same box for "Select Method" click the Cash Pick Up option. Next, for "Select Payout-Network" choose any UAE Exchange Branches. Next you will enter the monetary amount you would like to "Send" over in your currency and it will convert to Francs. There is a small fee that the website enforces. This will not go towards our ministry but goes directly to WorldRemit. After you hit the "Send" button you will be directed to a page where you will need to enter your personal information and may create an account.
