Enjoy your meal
Food is little more then just filling up your tummies and getting nutrients. We use it as a way of celebration as well, no party is complete without meal. Imagine having a party without food...you will not feel like going there next time.
Your daily food plate should comprise of all the nutrients available from different sources of your choice. In order to have a balance diet you need to have little knowledge about food groups. It is really simple and even one time consultation with a dietitian can give you confidence in serving best for your family and yourself.
Good thing about balance diet is that you don't have to leave any of your favourite food, you just need to take it in moderation. Just like how about serving green salad to kids before giving them their favourite nuggets or having fruit as snacks before serving them cookie, same goes for adult as well. Try this new approach and don't burden yourself thinking that you should start eating salads only for a healthy body because if you will skip one meal or remain hungry chances of overeating for next meal are much higher.
So enjoy your food and take meal time as a relaxing time not as a stressful and tug of war between your mind and your plate.
