for scientific research to mind the gap to a medical problem witnessing a rapid increase particularly during the last few decades. We look forward to “Muhammad Bin Husain Alamoudi Chair for Diabetic Foot Research” to fulfill the role of raising awareness and accurately educating people with diabetes, by publishing series of books and pamphlets about the necessity of preventing diabetic foot ulcers to avoid serious consequences. As it has been said “better safe than sorry” and “ prevention is better than cure" في محاولة لفهم أهمية الأفراد ومشاكل المجتمعات المحلية وإيجاد الحلول العلمية, تسعى الأمم في كل العصور لتعزيز مختلف البحوث العلمية. جامعة الملك عبدالعزيز تسعى دوماً للتألق بالتعاون مع المنظمات العامة والخاصة لتحقيق بحوث ذات جودة عالية لمجتمعنا. ولا شك بأن مشكلة مرضى السكري في زيادة سريعة ولا سيما خلال العقود القليلة الماضية, ونحن ندعم ونقدر دور الكرسي في توعية وتثقيف مرضى السكري بدقة، من خلال نشر سلسلة من الكتب والكتيبات حول ضرورة منع قرحة القدم السكرية من باب الوقاية خير من العلاج..
