The trifecta of love: for Rasūl (sA), for the mountains, and for doing ibada in sisterhood. 🤍✨

Our lovely Noura reciting traditional Somali Islamic poetry in the Alpujarra mountains of Andalusia. What undoubtedly makes group travel among women of deen so unique is in how faith-affirming the journey is. Moments of shared dhikr and Islamic insights soften the hearts and tighten the bonds between us. A lot of sweetness all around really.

May the sisters we meet here walk with us into jannah inshallah.

From folklore to agricultural practices to local traditions and even language, the impact of Islamic Spain endures. Roughly 8% of the Spanish language is derived from Arabic, and today we’re having a look at some of these words.

AAAND thats a wrap!! Zanzibar you are a dream, thank you thank you thank you. What a gorgeous group of sisters, inside out 🤍✨ Words fall short, Allah is great. Our first retreat of the year was so full of beauty, we’ll be riding these waves for a while still.

The Alhambra is a siren and she’s calling, ladies! ✨
Granada is DELIGHTFUL and there’s nothing quite like sharing it with you sisters. Did you know that half of our team live locally? That means we bring you to places and people here you might never see or meet otherwise. We’ve got the local sauce. 😉

Do you feel drawn to Andalusia? How does a private infinity pool overlooking the mountains sound? In a male-free rural villa, with massage therapy, yoga, sisters circles, excursions and adventures, and creative fun in wonderful heart-centred company — and that’s before we even come down to the city!

From retreat participant to retreat facilitator extraordinaire - this clip is from a few years ago when our lovely Dua first joined us on a retreat in Spain. She soon became an integral part of the team and we’re all the richer for it 🤍 from Spain to Morocco to Zanzibar, she leads with integrity, good humor and impeccable character.

We feel very blessed to be part of a wave of Muslim women creating spaces for Muslim women. And while our retreats may not be for everyone, for the ones they’re for they truly are medicine.
