Extensive First Aid Course at Alfaisal University !!

Have you ever faced an emergency where you strongly wanted to help but you did not posses enough skills?
We are pleased to offer you an extensive First Aid Course which by the end of it, we will make sure that you develop the needed skills to provide confidently the First Aid measures for most common emergencies.

The Course will cover the following topics ( Fractures, bleeding, Hypoglycemia,Burns & Electrical Injuries, Poison Emergencies, Choking, and heart attacks)​
Whoever you are and whatever background you come from, it is time that you do it for your generous voluntary soul, for your family, loved ones, and others!
By the end of this course, we will make sure that you will be able to provide the basic level of medical care for victims of life-threatening events or injuries (e.g. heart attack), until they can be given full medical attention at a hospital.
Our Certificates and cards are officially accepted by American Heart Association (AHA).

• Course Location: Alfaisal Campus CL3006 (Library Building, 3rd Floor).
Seats are limited only (8 seats)
• Timing as the follows:
1) Tuesday 30th of May (8.30 a.m.- 4.30 p.m.)

1- Please go to Mr. Ahmad Khan's Office in college of medicine department on the 3rd floor (Rafiq AlHariri Building, Third floor, Room S3-05) There, you must choose the date of the course -if there are available seats remaining- pay the fees and get your Course booklet.

You must write your name with the exact spelling you would like to see it on your certificate. Kindly be informed that at the End of the Course there will be an (open book) exam that is related to your Course Book (you will receive it once you pay the fees).

We've dovoted this weekend's courses specially for Alfaisal Senior Medical Students, the class of 2017. It has been an honor and pleasure hosting them so far. We've already had 2 spectacular courses with them today, where obviously all have passed and gotten certified.

We are proud of them "soon-to-be-doctors".

It is noteworthy that four of our very own instructors are to graduate from this batch this year inshaAllah!

The team of Alfaisal Basic Life Support Training Site celebrated their Contract Renewal as an internationally recognized training Site under KFSH Life Support Centre and the American Heart Association. The new contract will be valid for the period (2016-2018) in hope to crown two more years with an ample more success and achievement.

The ceremony was held by Prof. Khaled Alkattan. He awarded the BLS instructors a certificate of outstanding achievement for their high performance in teaching life support skills to over 400 Alfaisal students, faculty members and security staff; in addition to several students and staff from other institutes like Riyadh Dentistry and Pharmacy Colleges, apart from community awareness events as well that reached more than one thousand community individuals.

From his side, Dr. Khaled expressed his immense pride and gratitude to the team and described them as one of the few very successful student-run projects in the college, not just for being successful, but more importantly for having such a tangible effect on the college and community by spreading life saving skills which is the essence of our noble career, further flourishing the college's reputation and external influence, and bringing monetary income to the college while offering the courses at the lowest possible costs. He added that it is impressive how all that is being done while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and exceptional teamwork dynamics.

The team expressed their gratitude to Dr. Khaled for his continuous and unlimited support, without which this project would have just been a dream.

Thus far, each one of the 8 instructors has:

- Taught at least 10 courses.
- Certified at least 66 individuals as BLS AHA Providers.
- Devoted a minimum of 75 working hours.

Great news!!
We have already started to teach the latest guidelines from the American Heart Association (2015 Guidelines) that was released just a couple of months ago (new guidelines are released quinquennially).

We are glad to have hosted our very first round of courses for this academic year, certifying 33 students. It was a successful start for everyone featuring the new guidelines.

Some of our own instructors from Alfaisal BLS Training Site who helped training 1000 person during Community Awareness Campaign at Panorama Mall in Riyadh, organized by KFSH Training Centre.

The CPR Event - 2016 is a joint effort by the KFSH BLS Training Center and our very own Alfaisal Student Instructors who helped teach numerous people Basic Life Support skills for free. The event was held at Panorama Mall on 20th February, 2016 from 2:30-10:00 pm.
