في إطار الجهود المستمرة لتعزيز قدرات الكوادر الطبية ورفع جاهزيتها للتعامل مع الحالات الحرجة، استضاف مركز تطوير التعليم الطبي (EDC) بكلية الطب – جامعة دنقلا، برنامج الرعاية الأساسية الطارئة (Basic Emergency Care – BEC) الموجه للكوادر الطبية والصحية بمستشفى دنقلا التخصصي، وذلك ضمن أنشطة مشروع المساعدات الصحية والاستجابة للطوارئ في السودان (SHARE Project)، بالشراكة مع منظمة بناء للتنمية BFD، ومنظمة الصحة العالمية WHO، ووزارة الصحة بالولاية الشمالية.
وقد شرف الجلسة الافتتاحية كل من:

حيث يأتي هذا البرنامج في سياق التحديات الصحية الراهنة التي تواجه المؤسسات العلاجية، وما يتطلبه ذلك من رفع مستوى الاستجابة الأولية للحالات الطارئة، عبر التدريب المستمر المتوافق مع منهجيات منظمة الصحة العالمية، وتطبيق بروتوكولات التقييم السريع والمنسّق للحالات الحرجة. وقد شكّل البرنامج فرصة مهمة للاطباء والكوادر الصحية بمستشفى دنقلا التخصصي من رفع مهاراتهم العملية وتطوير كفاءاتهم في تقييم المرضى، وتحديد أسباب الخطر، واتخاذ التدخلات المنقذة للحياة في وقت وجيز.

ويؤكد مركز تطوير التعليم الطبي بكلية الطب جامعة دنقلا أن مثل هذه البرامج تمثل خطوة مهمة لبناء قدرات العاملين في المؤسسات الصحية بولاية الشمالية، بهدف الارتقاء بجودة خدمات الطوارئ وتطوير منظومة الاستجابة السريعة وفق المعايير العالمية.

Basic Emergency Care (BEC) Course
Emergency Health Response Project – Northern State
5–8 December

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the capacity of medical personnel and enhance their readiness to manage critical cases, the Medical Education Development Center (EDC) at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Dongola, hosted the Basic Emergency Care (BEC) program. The course targeted medical and health staff from Dongola Specialized Hospital and was implemented within the activities of the Sudan Health Assistance and Emergency Response Project (SHARE Project), in partnership with Binaa Organization for Development (BFD), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Ministry of Health of the Northern State.

The opening session was honored by the presence of:

1. Dr. Ibrahim Mohamed Hamad El-Neel – Director of the Center

2. Dr. Hind Osman – Director of NGOs at the Ministry of Health and Representative of the State Ministry

3. Dr. Hamad El-Neel– Head of the WHO Office in the Northern State

4. Dr. Mohamed Al-Jubair – Director of Binaa Organization in the Northern State

5. Dr. Hassan Mahmoud – Director of Dongola Specialized Hospital

In addition to a number of administrative and executive representatives from the Center, the Ministry, partner organizations, and the hospital.

This program comes in the context of the current health challenges facing healthcare institutions and the consequent need to enhance primary emergency response through continuous training aligned with World Health Organization methodologies, and the application of rapid, coordinated assessment protocols for critical cases. The course provided an important opportunity for physicians and healthcare staff at Dongola Specialized Hospital to improve their practical skills and develop their competencies in patient assessment, identification of life-threatening conditions, and timely implementation of life-saving interventions.

The Medical Education Development Center at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Dongola, affirms that such programs represent an important step in building the capacities of healthcare workers in the Northern State, with the aim of improving the quality of emergency services and strengthening rapid response systems in accordance with international standards.

In conclusion, the Center extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to the World Health Organization, Binaa Organization for Development, and the Federal and Northern State Ministries of Health for selecting the Center to host this event; to the administration of Dongola Specialized Hospital for their fruitful cooperation; and to all participants whose attendance and engagement contributed to the success of this distinguished program.

1. Purpose of Recruitment
The EDC seeks to recruit a qualified Executive Secretary to support the center’s administrative operations and ensure efficient communication, documentation, and workflow management.
The selected candidate will join the center as part of their national service program.
2. Eligibility Criteria
Applications are open exclusively to medical doctors who meet the following requirements:
 The applicant must be a medical doctor who has completed the internship (houseman).
 Willingness to complete the national service program at the EDC.

1. Providing administrative and secretarial support to the EDC Director and team.

نُظّمت الورشة التدريبية الثانية بتاريخ 13 نوفمبر 2025، ضمن برنامج تعزيز مهارات الكوادر الطبية ورفع كفاءة التدريب في مجالات الطوارئ، مع التركيز على الجانبين النظري والعملي لمهارات الإنعاش القلبي.

الجانب النظري شمل شرح أساسيات الإنعاش القلبي الرئوي، تسلسل خطوات التدخل السريع، كيفية التعرف المبكر على توقف القلب، ومبادئ التعامل مع الحالات الحرجة، مع توضيح أحدث البروتوكولات العالمية المعتمدة في هذا المجال.

أما الجانب العملي فقد تضمن تدريبًا مباشرًا باستخدام الدمى التعليمية، وتطبيق خطوات الإنعاش القلبي الرئوي بجميع مراحله، بالإضافة إلى تمارين عملية على استخدام جهاز الصدمات الكهربائية، وكيفية تكوين فريق إنعاش فعّال والتعامل مع السيناريوهات المختلفة داخل قسم الطوارئ.

Second Training Workshop – Batch 2
The second training workshop was held on 13 November 2025 as part of a program aimed at strengthening the skills of healthcare professionals and enhancing training efficiency in emergency medicine, with a specific focus on both the theoretical and practical components of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

The theoretical component covered the fundamentals of CPR, the sequence of rapid intervention, early recognition of cardiac arrest, and principles of managing critical situations. It also included an explanation of the latest internationally approved protocols and evidence-based updates in resuscitation practices.

The practical component involved hands-on training using advanced simulation manikins, applying all steps of CPR, and practicing the use of the defibrillator. Participants also engaged in practical exercises on forming an effective resuscitation team and managing different emergency scenarios within the emergency department.

الورشة التدريبية الأولى – Batch 1
التاريخ 10 نوفمبر 2025

نُظّمت الورشة التدريبية الأولى برعاية مركز تطوير التعليم الطبي (EDC)، وهو الجهة المسؤولة عن دعم وتطوير برامج التدريب المستمر ورفع كفاءة الكوادر الطبية من خلال دورات عملية وعلمية متخصصة. ويأتي تنظيم هذه الورشة ضمن جهود المركز لتعزيز قدرات العاملين بمجال الطوارئ، وتحسين جودة الخدمات الصحية المقدمة بالمؤسسات العلاجية.

اعتمدت الورشة في محتواها على محور أساسي هو مهارات الإنعاش القلبي الرئوي، حيث شمل البرنامج جانبا نظريًا تفصيليًا تناول الأساسيات العلمية، البروتوكولات العالمية، آليات تقييم الحالة، وتسلسل التدخلات في حالات توقف القلب. كما احتوى البرنامج على جانب عملي مباشر تم فيه تدريب المتدربين على محاكاة سيناريوهات واقعية للإنعاش، باستخدام وسائل تدريب متقدمة تضمن اكتساب المهارات الأساسية بصورة دقيقة وفعّالة.

First Training Workshop – Batch 1
Date: 10 November 2025

The first training workshop was organized under the full sponsorship of the Educational Development Center (EDC), the leading body responsible for supporting and advancing continuous medical education and enhancing the competencies of healthcare professionals through specialized academic and practical programs. This workshop comes as part of the center’s ongoing efforts to strengthen emergency medicine skills and improve the quality of healthcare services across medical institutions.

The workshop focused on a primary theme: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Skills. The program included a detailed theoretical component covering the scientific foundations of CPR, international protocols, patient assessment methods, and the sequence of interventions in cardiac arrest situations. In addition, the workshop featured a direct hands-on practical component, where participants received real-time training using advanced simulation tools designed to develop accurate and effective CPR techniques.

This course represents a significant step in enhancing healthcare delivery, as it directly contributes to improving service quality, strengthening emergency response, and elevating the performance of medical teams in critical situations.

إستضافة مركز تطوير التعليم الطبي بكلية الطب – جامعة دنقلا لمدربي ومتدربي مجلس تخصص الأمراض الجلدية والتناسلية

استضاف مركز تطوير التعليم الطبي بكلية الطب – جامعة دنقلا، اليوم الموافق 13 نوفمبر 2025، بقاعة د. عثمان سعيد، مدربي ومتدربي مجلس تخصص الأمراض الجلدية والتناسلية بمدينة دنقلا، وذلك لتنفيذ الأنشطة التعليمية المصاحبة للتدريب التي يقدمها متدربو التخصص ضمن برامجهم المعتمدة.

وقد شرف الجلسة كلٌ من:

بالإضافة إلى عدد من متدربي مجلس تخصص الأمراض الجلدية والتناسلية.

تأتي هذه الاستضافة في إطار دعم المركز للعملية التدريبية، وتوفير بيئة تعليمية محفزة تسهم في تعزيز كفاءات المتدربين، بما ينعكس إيجابًا على مستوى الخدمات العلاجية المقدّمة للمواطنين.

الجدير بالذكر أن متدربي تخصص الأمراض الجلدية يواصلون تنفيذ هذه الأنشطة بشكل أسبوعي كجزء أساسي من برنامج التدريب.

Hosting of Dermatology and Venereology Trainers and Trainees at the Medical Education Development Center – Faculty of Medicine, University of Dongola

On 13 November 2025, the Medical Education Development Center at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Dongola, hosted the trainers and trainees of the Dermatology and Venereology Specialty Board at Dr. Othman Saeed Hall, as part of the academic activities integrated within their accredited training program.

The session was honored by the presence of:

Dr. Faisal Babtoud – Consultant Dermatologist & Venereologist, and Representative of the Dermatology Board in the Northern State

Dr. Sahar Radwan – Consultant Dermatologist & Venereologist

Dr. Shaimaa Mohamed Najeeb – Specialist in Dermatology & Venereology
Along with several dermatology trainees from the Medical Specialties Board.

This hosting comes as part of the Center’s continuous support for the training process, ensuring an enabling educational environment that contributes to enhancing trainees’ competencies and ultimately improving the quality of healthcare services provided to the community.

It is worth noting that dermatology trainees conduct these academic activities on a weekly basis, as an essential component of the training program.
