After 2 years of serving Youth Against Cancer as The Campaign Director, my two years term came an end on July Wednesday 14th. I passed the baton to Dr. Anis Hassan Abdi after a unanimous Endorsement from the rest of the executive members. Dr Anis Hassan Abdi also chaired the Kenya Medical Students Association and was in equal capacity the Research Coordinator in YAC.
Afrah El-Harith who previously served the position of an Assistant Women Affairs Secretariat was unanimously promoted to the position of the Women Affairs Secretariat following the exit of her predecessor Miss Saida Abdallah.
Equally, the YAC team deliberated on doing away with the position of the Assistant Campaign Director in it's new board.
I would like to thank the entire Youth Against Cancer board and the Sudanese society for the support they accorded me during my tenure .
It was a challenging period but I leave YAC a stronger voice on matters of Health Activism as guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal Three on Good Health and Wellbeing.
I also want to specifically thank the Kenyan Embassy, FrankEaster Business Empire, Office of the Vice Chancellor Umma University, LeRiso Money Transfer, International Youth Society, Sudanese Women for Cancer Care, International Union for Cancer Control, YALI Regional Leadership Centre East Africa, all the students' unions at the University, Khartoum Oncology Hospital, CEO jornalingual , CEO Hope Alive Initiative, Pan African Youth Union and many other stakeholders for all the support they have given us.
I have no doubt in my mind that the new team will raise the bar to an even higher level.
As always we say; together we can save more lives!
Regards:
Bilaly Kalibrah (Bilal Hamisi Mwarandu)
