ግላኮማ ሓደ ካብ ሓደገኛታት ሕማማት ዓይኒ ኮይኑ፡ ነቲ ካብ ዓይኒ ናብ ሓንጎል ናይ ምርኣይ ሓበሬታ ዘመሓላልፍ ነርቭ ክጎድእ ይኽእል። እዚ ጉድኣት እዚ እንተዘይተሓኪሙ ምርኣይ ምጥፋእን ዕውረትን የስዕብ።

ግላኮማ ሓያሎ ዓይነታት ኣለዉ፡ ንሳቶም ድማ፤

1. ናይ ውሽጣዊ ዓይኒ ፈሳሲ ዘንቀሳቕስ ብኽፉቱ ግን ከኣ እኹል ምንቅስቓስ ምስ ዘይህልዎ ዘጋጥም ኮይኑ ኣብ 80-90% ካብ ሕሙማት ዝሕዝ እዩ። ጽልውኡ ድማ ኣብ ዝተናውሐ ግዜ ብሰላሕታ ይፍጠር።
2. ናይ ውሽጣዊ ዓይኒ ፈሳሲ ዘንቀሳቕስ ምስ ዝዕጾ ዘጋጥም ኮይኑ፡ ሃንደበት ጸቕጢ ዓይኒ ብምውሳኽ ኣብ ሓጺር ግዜ ክሳብ ዑረት ከስዕብ ይኽእል።
3. ንቡር ጸቕጢ ዓይኒ እናሃለወ ናይ ምርኣይ ነርቭ ዝጉድኣሉ ዓይነት እዩ።
4. ምሳኻ ዝፍጠር ዓይነት ግላኮማ ሳሕቲ ዝረአ ኮይኑ፡ መብዛሕትኡ ግዜ ብሰንኪ ዘይንቡር ምዕባለ ስርዓተ ምፍሳስ ውሽጣዊ ማያት ዓይኒ ዝመጽእ እዩ።

ግላኮማ ብኸምዚ ዝስዕብ ክመጽእ ይኽእል፤

- ጸቕጢ ዓይኒ ምውሳኽ
- ካብ ስድራቤት ዝመጸ
- ዕድመ (ልዕሊ 60)
- ብሄር (ኣፍሪቃውያን፣ ኣሜሪካውያን፣ ስጳኛውያን/ላቲኖስ)
- ሕክምናዊ ኩነታት (ሕማም ሽኮርያ፡ ልዑል ጸቕጢ ደም)
- መጉዳእቲ ዓይኒ ወይ መጥባሕቲ

ጻዕዳ ክፋል ዓይኒ ብስጋ ዝመስል ናብ ጸሊም ዓይኒ ዝዝርጋሕ ሕበጥ ዝሽፍን፡ ቃንዛን፡ ሕርኽርኽን፡ ድርቀትን ከምኡ'አን ናይ ምርኣይ ዓቕምና ዘጉድል ረባሺ ሕማም'ዩ። ዝበዝሕ ግዜ ብመነጸርን ጽሬትን ክንከናኸኖ ንኽእል፡ ኣብ ገለ ኣጋጣሚ ውን መድሃኒት ይውሰኽ፡ እዚ ምስ ዘይኣክል ብመጥባሕቲ ክእለ ይከኣል።

Pterygium
