Feeltheyogaflow 🧘🏻‍♀️Yoga Teacher DM for Enquiries 🍉🌂💯 Hey,

I'mFreddie founder of Feeltheyogaflow. I am a qualified yoga teacher based in South West London.

I teach private one-to-one, Yoga classes both in person and online. Both work very well so it is your personal preference on what works best for you and your schedule. I use the platform Zoom to teach online classes, however if you would prefer in person sessions, I am able to travel to your home, workplace or a suitable outdoor/indoor space. I teach various different types of yoga such as Hatha flow, Vinyasa flow and Restorative. Whether you are a complete beginner and have never done Yoga before, or have a little experience and keen to learn more, or maybe you are at an intermediate level we can start exactly where you are and progress from there.

**A bit about Yoga**

Yoga is all about self nourishment, listening to yourself and your individual body. It is the union of our mind and body, so we will work on moving through our yoga postures but also bringing our awareness to the breath throughout. This way we can work to focus our mind on the present moment as much as we can, which helps to calm a busy mind and the more that we practice in this way, the more we are able to carry this presence and peace into our daily life. There are many benefits of our yoga practice - physical, mental and emotional. So whether you are coming to your mat looking to become physically stronger, looking to calm your mind or maybe move through some trapped emotions in the body, I can teach in a way that suits you. We can have a short phone consultation before we begin to discuss your goals, any injuries and exactly what you are looking to achieve from our classes together and this will help me to plan your classes specifically for you to make sure you are getting the most out of our sessions together. If you are interested in Yoga Philosophy, I am also happy to incorporate these beautiful teachings into our classes. Yoga is a beautiful practice which allows us to simply show up to our mats exactly where we are from one day to the next, being aware that this will always differ and being okay with that. Just moving through life a day at a time with anything that shows up to be released from our individual body and mind. Some days our bodies will be more responsive to our asanas and others they may not, so it really is all about listening in to this and never forcing anything. Instead being kind to ourselves and our bodies, patient, accepting things as they are from one day to the next and this is how we progress :)

** Bookings **

I offer 1 hour sessions, however if it would suit you to have a shorter or longer slot please let me know and we can make this work. We can do regular weekly sessions, fortnightly, as well as one off sessions for events. Please email me for prices and availability, or with any questions you may have and we can make a plan to start! :)

I am looking forward to teaching you and being a part of your yoga journey! Love and light,

Freddie xx

Garudasana (Eagle Pose) requires careful focus. You must bend your knees, cross your left thigh over your right, hook the top of your foot behind your right calf, spread your scapula and snug your right elbow into the crook of your left, bring your palms to touch, lift your elbows, and stretch your fingers towards the ceiling. WHAAAAAAAAAAT???
BUT, Eagle Pose improves balance and focus, and postural and body awareness. It stretches around your shoulders, upper back, and thighs, as it strengthens your core, thighs, legs, and ankles.

The word Diwali comes from the word Deepa and Avali and signifies a row of lights. Diwali has rich spiritual meaning:
the rows of lights represent not just the essence of light in our lives but also gives us time to reflect on all that is good in life. The mythical stories told all point to the importance of knowledge, self-inquiry and seeking the right path in life.
In spiritual traditions it is a time to illuminate ones inner light, the light of knowledge , compassion and joy.
In the context of yoga, a light (or flame) is used to describe our awareness. The more awake and elevated we are in awareness, the flame of awareness is shining bright. When we are lethargic, the flame of awareness is dull. When our mind is filled with too many turbulent thoughts, the flame of awareness is unsteady, it is flickering. One of the aims of yoga is to make the flame of awareness shine bright (elevate our awareness), and at the same time hold the flame steady (peaceful without agitation). Engaging the the practices of yoga brightens the light of our awareness, so we experience clarity and it allows our inner vision to have sufficient resolution to discriminate between that which serves our growth and that which does not.

Sva Dharma is that action which is in accordance with your nature. It is acting in accordance with your skills and talents, your own nature, and that which you are responsible for.
What I can say as personal experience is that: At the end of 2018 I found myself having a “What the hell are you doing with your life ? Moment, I was (still) living in London working in a successful pub,but something wasn’t right, I was trying to make people ( customers) happy but I wasn't.
Then at the beginning of 2019 I went to my first yoga class (thanks to my boyfriend)...ahhhhhJOY, I found myself in a warm and very full pool of yoga students and teachers ( I did quit my job)and I knew something was different now.
Looking around, the scenery had change, I had a purpose, I enrolled myself to became a yoga teacher.
What is my sva dharma now? How do I know what step to take next?
In some ways I still feel like I’m in freeze-frame with Arjuna, awaiting wise counsel from Lord Krishna in order to see clearly what I may be yet unable to see. I don’t know my next big move, but I do know this: I will be unable to proceed, to take the next step, until I can know clearly where I am now. Until I can understand and place myself in context: stage of life, environment, social belonging, and more. If my dharma is to teach then the actions of my svad dharma will be born of this present moment, and not any replication of the past, or dream of the future.

Crescent Lunge Pose stretches the hip flexors and quadriceps. This is a useful counter-stretch for front load-bearing workouts such as cycling and running, as well as for those who sit much of the day.
It also opens the chest, shoulders, and torso. You can practice it to build your balance and stability.
As a heart-opener, it is considered to be energizing.🧘‍♀️
