I used to over-explain everything.

Every teeny tiny step.
Every minute detail.
Every part of my beloved process.

And it used to kill my sales.

Because I thought that’s what would build trust.

But it didn’t.

It overwhelmed people. (And me too tbf)

And if I’m totally honest, it was also me hiding.

Hiding behind information instead of clearly stating what I actually believed.

The shift came when I stopped explaining and started painting the outcome.

-Who the person in front of me could become.
-How they would think.
-And what would feel different for them.

That’s when things changed.

Because people do not move from information.

They move from conviction.

So if you are a business owner pitching for investment, drop the bullet points and tap into the belief 👌🏻

If you are being totally honest with yourself…I think you’d find that a large portion of your drive to pivot is as a means to escape an uncomfortable feeling.

The feeling you are trying to escape will differ depending on the situation and your unique programming.

Perhaps it’s discomfort with imperfection?

Fear of commitment?

Or perhaps you simply don’t know what you actually want.

And therefore frequent pivots allow busyness to distract you from facing the bigger question.

Disclaimer‼️

Sometimes pivoting is absolutely the right move.

But I encourage you to make sure the intention is clean before you make the move.

So next time the urge to change direction arises… ask yourself…

“Is this coming from discipline or distraction?”

Because when the pivot is born from discipline,
your world gets simpler,
lighter,
faster.

A founder asked me how to stay present when their mind is always 10 steps into the future.

My honest answer: You can’t. 
Trying to stay ahead is the opposite of presence.
I know because I used to do it constantly.

Early in my relationship, we created something called the “Future Jar.” 
Every time we started spiralling about the future, we’d stop and put metaphorical money in the jar.

Why? 
Because trying to control the future was the root cause of every argument.

And the moment we let go, something incredible happened: 
Clarity returned naturally. The present felt safe again. And the next step revealed itself on its own.
Business works the same way.
Be fully in this step, and the next step becomes obvious.

I once told my therapist I needed to focus all my time on my business.

Huge goals.

Big dreams.

Total tunnel vision.

Her reply stopped me cold:

“Okay… but who’s going to celebrate with you when you get there?”

Oof.

Because what’s the point of the peak, if you’ve neglected every relationship on the way up?

That’s when I created my Whole Life Map:
✔ Health
✔ Wealth
✔ Purpose
✔ Relationships

Scaling ALL four brought my motivation back.
My relationships got deeper.
My health improved.
And the business milestones finally felt meaningful again.

Decision fatigue isn’t caused by having too much to do.

It’s caused by having too many directions you could go.

As a yoga teacher and coach, I live for process.
Flow.
Journey.
Feeling.

But when you’re trying to scale something meaningful?

The “just follow the process” approach will bury you…(speaking from experience 🫠🫠)

Because when you commit to a specific result…
Your process shapes itself.

Vision narrows focus.
Focus reduces decisions.
Fewer decisions means more progress.
