‘What’s the best way for authors to create engaging content without showing their face?,’ an author friend asked. He knew I am making videos to build my reach.

I named two to three and he decided to pick one to try. After six months, when I met him he was happy to have made progress and gained some followers. He was now ready enough to include second way of promoting himself.

That gave me an idea, why not I create a video to help all the authors who face similar challenges.

Let me know in comments which one you want to try right now.

✍️ What Does an Author Want? 📚
In my last video, I shared the needs of an author—this time, I’m revealing 4 things every author wants (in no particular order):

1️⃣ A Good Literary Agent – A champion who believes in your voice.
2️⃣ A Supportive Editor – Someone who sharpens your work without rewriting you.
3️⃣ Promotion Help – So you can write while your book reaches readers.
4️⃣ Validation – Reviews, feedback, and knowing your words matter.

💬 Writers—Which of these do YOU crave most?

And yes, I took AI help in creating caption for social media because this job I am okay in delegating. It saves my energy and time and I can focus better on deeveloping real content like I did for this video.

My first job was with Nike and I worked in the marketing department.

The first lesson I learned there was to always show how the product will benefit the customer than talking about the benefits the company will receive. Focus on serving than selling.

I couldn’t sell then and I can’t sell now. Shoes have changed to books. I still hate being pushy. Through this video, I am sharing 5 lessons that helps to connect with the audience.

‘Connection before Promotion’ works for me.

What is your strategy?

You can sell your book without being pushy or sounding desperate. Taking your book to your audience is your responsibility. Maybe your book can change life o...

Twenty years ago today, I became a mom.

It’s the most special and happiest day of my life.

I am thrilled to add another element of specialness by revealing the cover of my first children’s book.

‘Standup for Yourself,’ Brando Tells Dory

This marks the beginning of the “Brando Tells Dory” series—a project close to my heart.

#17
From a young age, children wish to look cool.

They try various things to fit in and be part of cool group.

Without the sense of belonging, they feel lost and unaccepted.

But, what is the real definition of coolness?

THE COOL BEAN by Jory John helps children to find their answers and feel cool than being cool.

And it is a reminder for adults also to be creators and dreamers.

In this video, I’m sharing five powerful writing lessons from five successful authors—plus a bonus tip at the end.

I usually upload my videos on Sunday mornings. But yesterday, technology had other plans. One section of the video just wouldn't cooperate.

My mind and body were exhausted, while my spirit was high. As any writer knows, staying aligned in mind, body, and soul is key to keeping the creative spark alive.

So, I rested and returned stronger today.

Now, I’m excited to bring you these valuable insights from some of the best in the field. Enjoy!

In my attempt to explore 50 cafes in Stockholm, I visited Socker Sucker. The pastry collection is unique in taste and eye-pleasing. You will find more than kanelbulle or croissants.

Interesting fact about Socker Sucker: they were the official bread supplier for two consecutive years(2023 & 2024) for Noble event.

Interesting fact about me: I love visiting cafe but I love tea over coffee. And I am an author, book writing coach, and teacher.

A book I haven’t promoted much. A recent interaction with bookstores I figured that they prefer carrying my second book (Write) for two reasons

1. They feel intimidated by the title of my first book - I Love Myself. They think not many people will buy it while online selling figures contradict that thought. Some of the stores don’t want to go through the book on self-care and self-love.

2. They feel the book on writing is easy to sell. The theme generates more interest and the salability quotient is high.

Write - Find Your Own Mind as a Writer- does not give you tips and tricks about how to write well or where to put your commas or apostrophe.

It takes you into the real world of an author where ideas stop flowing and motivation fades with time. It talks about the real problems faced by the writers. This books connects with the soul of the authors who love to put words on paper.

Write and find ease and balance in your writing. You can get your copy here.

People say starting is tough.

Where I stand, restarting seems challenging.

You feel you know the game, then you realise that the rules have changed a long time ago.

You try to hang on to familiar ropes, but you must learn new ways to hold with a better grip.

You look for a stable ground to stand on, but the footing you once trusted feels unsteady.

You hesitate. You question yourself. You rethink.

You get caught between the comfort of past experiences and the uncertainty of forging a new way forward.

I thought starting was tough.

Where I stand, restarting feels hard.

I reminded myself if I don’t do it now, when will I?

Starting again might feel scary, but it is the beginning of something new wrapped in wisdom, resilience and courage to try one more time.

So here I go.
