Hello Timeless Breathers!

As I was tuning into the theme of this evening’s breathwork, it occurred to me, the past couple of days I have had quite a few conversations about receiving love.

In our fast-paced world we have reached a point where we are constantly giving: we are giving of service, we are giving of our time, to our families, friends, workplace. We are all giving, creating – and consuming.

But how often do we stop to actually receive? And how do we respond when we are given to?

The theme for this evening will be about receiving love.
When we can fully open our hearts to receive unconditionally, that is when we can fully tune into our heart space and accept without the need to give in return. We can say thank you, and hold that feeling within ourselves, because we deserve to be loved.

If this theme aligns with you this evening, please come online for breathwork at 7pm.
We will be tuning into our heart space with the healing and heart breath, to fully receive love and slow down our nervous systems and find a place of bliss. Let’s have a romantic evening for ourselves.

Breathwork online tonight!
Reset and Renew, only $5 to zoom in at 7pm.

If you haven't booked yet, just jump in, that is totally fine, or contact me for a recording later.

Details:
We will start with cameras and microphones on for our introduction and then turn these off so that you can enjoy the breathwork in your own space. If you log on late, please keep these turned off in case we have already started.

You may fall asleep during the session and not wake at the end of it and not come back online. I will end the meeting and check in with you the next day.

Technology / Disruptions
Since this is an online event, I strive for a smooth experience, but tech issues like storms or outages are beyond our control. If a disruption occurs and you can’t hear me, please continue your relaxation and breath practice until I’m back. Thank you for your patience!

Preparations:
– Good internet connection
– A quiet, safe space without distractions
– Notifications on phone turned off/silent
– Water bottle, eye mask (you will have a deeper experience), blankets, cushions (lay in bed or on a yoga mat)

What to expect
A calm, nurturing space, where you will be guided to deep relaxation and breathwork to calm your mind and nervous system for deeper sleep.

You may have emotions come up – let them come and focus on coming back to the breath. I will be available for an hour after the meeting and the following days if you need support and talk afterwards.

Contraindications
If you have health issues such as cardiac, mental, epilepsy, asthma, obesity and other, where deep breathing can be of risk or needing monitoring by a facilitator, please refrain from online breathwork.

If you suffer from PTSD, anxiety and depression, deep breathwork can bring up overwhelming emotions. In that case I recommend seeing me individually in person, as you may need additional support and guidance.

Hoping to see you online tonight! Any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me on 0433 850 112 as I might not see a reply to this email.

Alcohol is ruining my life - but I am not the alcoholic!

When people hear the word alcoholism, they tend to picture a person who drinks uncontrollably, often to the point of blacking out. What often gets left out of the conversation are the people standing next to the person with alcohol dependency — the ones quietly enduring the chaos, walking on eggshells, holding families together, and breaking down in silence.

Understanding alcoholism and addiction requires seeing them not as moral failures or choices, but as complex, multifaceted conditions that affect the brain, behavior, and nervous system.

Addiction often begins as a coping mechanism — a way to numb pain, escape trauma, or manage stress — but over time, it rewires the brain’s reward system, making the substance feel essential for survival. This compulsion can override logic, relationships, and responsibilities.

It’s important to recognize that while the behavior may be destructive, the person is not their addiction.

Healing requires compassion, boundaries, and often professional support — for both the person struggling and those around them.

Suffering in silence and denial: Are they really an Alcoholic?
It’s easy to convince yourself it’s not that bad. After all, they’re not drinking every day. They have a job. They’re “functional.” But addiction doesn’t have to look extreme to be destructive — especially for the people living closest to it.

They become the peacekeeper. The fixer. The one who explains away the drinker’s behavior to the children, to friends, to themselves. They lie — not just to others, but inwardly — to maintain the illusion of control. Because acknowledging the truth feels terrifying. And yet, deep down, they know: this is not normal, and it is not okay.

In the shadows of Alcohol Dependency: When Love Becomes a Battleground
What makes this even more painful is love. The person still loves the alcoholic — and that’s part of the trap. Addiction isn’t just about substances; it’s about connection that’s become fractured, distant, and unpredictable.

The Invisible Impact of Alcoholism on Families
You don’t have to drink to be destroyed by alcohol. The partner, the child, the sibling — they may suffer from depression, anxiety, insomnia, and emotional exhaustion. They may question their sanity, pull away from friendships, and carry a constant weight of guilt or confusion. Often, they feel silenced because they’re “not the one with the problem.”

But they do have the right to speak up. And so do you.

If these words resonate — know this: you are not crazy. You are not weak. You are not alone. Read the full article..

Healers, therapists, counsellors, and psychologists—who's holding space for you?

Over the past few months, I’ve noticed something I didn’t expect. More and more therapists have been reaching out and coming to my breathwork sessions—not to learn how to use it with clients (at least not at first), but because they’re feeling the effects of constantly being the one who listens, holds, and supports.

One counsellor told me after a session,
“I didn’t realise how much I was carrying until I finally let myself breathe.”

Another shared that since starting breathwork, they’ve felt more regulated in their own life, more connected with their family, and less drained after seeing clients.

It makes sense. When we’re regularly exposed to others’ pain, it can build up in our own nervous system—whether we realise it or not. Breathwork creates a space to reset. To come back into the body. To feel. To let go.

If you’re in the helping profession, I’d love to hear from you.

How do you notice when you’ve absorbed energy from your clients?
What practice do you use to help release it?
Have you tried breathwork—for yourself, and how did it help?

I’d love to know—how are you supporting your own nervous system right now?

Let’s start a conversation.

Are you someone who has tried EVERYTHING to make your day to day life function better? You buy a new notebook/calendar/scheduler in the hopes you’ll get better at planning, setting goals and get those habits in?

What if I told you that some of us aren’t wired to follow a linear, strict schedule? Women, especially neurodivergent ones, struggle with this because we weren’t built to follow a linear timeline.

The 9-5 work week was designed for a system that kept people productive, with just enough time to reset for the next day, for an industrialized society that separated male and female, took us away from nature and hindered us from connecting to each other.. IT ISN’T NATURAL! We aren’t meant to operate in this way!

What if we figured out a new way (or what worked before the Industrial Revolution) - how would that world look like?

What changes can YOU do in your life today that takes you away from the belief that you need a schedule, a goal, that you need consistent input of labor equal from day to day?

What if everything you learned about how to do adult life is incorrect, that it can be done in a different way?

If you feel lost in this, reach out because I can help.
I offer 1:1 coaching and support groups, Breathwork and healing.

What are your thoughts on this topic, what has helped you? Do you agree or disagree? 😍 Let’s have a chat in comments or DM. 💗

Lashia Forever

Hi, my name is Mimmi Ebbersten, I am a Gen Y on the border to X, but sometimes feel more like a Y, a fun and a tad crazy girl, consider myself living outside society’s rules, not accepting no for an answer and my favorite words are “I have an idea” and “why would it have to be like that?” My kids are amazing and so is my husband Jeff who is sort of my rescue net, he sometimes say being married to me is like being married to 12 different women, score right? It certainly feel like I am 12 different women sometimes actually, I do a LOT. Jeff is the brains and machine behind the Lashia Megastore. If you need to know anything about Lash products, he is the guy. I also really envy my mum, as those of you who know me may know. She is a rocker in a heavy, all female metal band called Hysterica. She is also somewhat the inventor of the Lash Industry in Sweden. She came up with a LOT of great ideas and I am sort of the implementer of them. A lot of times I do have to say “hang on a minute, we need to THINK”. Which is not always easy... A day in my life I run Lashia Australia from 4/5 am to about 10-11pm when I usually crash in front of the TV with my feet up after an amazingly cooked meal from Jeff who used to be an award winning chef. ;) TBH I don’t give him enough credit for everything he does and how good his food is. I am rather spoiled actually. Without him I don’t think I would manage everything. Lately I have been quite good, going to GYM at 6 or 7.30am some days, or other days I just can’t be bothered. These gym classes are really crazy but they sure wake you up.. Then I try to do school drop a few times a week but they totally stress me up and makes me so upset, there are so many things to squash into that one hour, it just isn’t right! At Lashia we have some AMAZING students. We have actually created a whole network of amazing Lashia girls who are out there changing the world, one lash at a time. Follow them on hashtag #lashianetwork - we are now a rather big family! If you would like to be part of the Lashia Network, then don’t hesitate to contact me, I am usually quite approachable. My PASSION is to help people, and I love working together. What pi**es me off is false people with the wrong intentions. Loyalty and togetherness are strong values that I have and I am very humble until the day you p**s me off, and you sure don’t want to do that. ;) Much love, now you know a little bit more about me. ### Mimmi Ebbersten Lashia Eyelash Design
