Nasal strips: let’s clear the air. Literally.

They don’t boost oxygen levels, since your blood is already near max.

They don’t cure snoring or sleep apnea, since that’s an airway collapse issue, not your nose.

So what they do help with?

Supporting nasal breathing when ”bad” habits and congestion pushes you into mouth breathing.

And that matters, since nasal breathing filters, warms, and humidifies air, boosts nitric oxide, and delivers oxygen more efficiently to your tissues.

So yes, they might make you look a little biohacky.
But the real value isn’t a shortcut.

It’s support for a breathing habit your body already knows.

Wear the strip. Look cool. Just don’t confuse support with magic or a quick fix!

Last week, our community gathered at Stockholm to talk about something both ancient and radically modern: the super-natural powers of the human body we’ve quietly forgotten.

Here’s one of them:

Your body has a natural healing rhythm: 0.1 Hz.

You were born with it.

And you access it through one thing: your breath.

This isn’t hype, or biohacking, it’s just physiology.

It’s your nervous system remembering how to heal. And you remembering that your body isn’t fragile but supernatural.

This is what we mean by remembering your biology, where you can become (BKM) anything you want 🫶🏼

Health isn’t a metric. It’s a state you build.

I just turned forty, and my biological age test says my body is twenty.

Not because I live a perfect life, or biohack.

It’s more simple than that: I just learned how my biology actually works.

Your breath, your stress response, your recovery patterns, these are levers.

When you understand them, you shift your physiology from survival mode into adaptation mode.

The real ”hack” is that Recovery isn’t rest; it’s recalibration.

When you work with your nervous system instead of against it, your whole biology becomes more flexible, more efficient, and more fun to be in.

And here’s what matters:
If this works under the ice at –2°C… it will work for you in your everyday life.

Follow along, I’ll teach you one tool a week to make your biology steadier, calmer, and stronger 🫶🏼

BKM x – Winter Breathwork

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday and made our Winter Breathwork session something special.

We introduced the science behind nasal breathing. How it elevates performance, recovery, sleep and also why nasal strips can be a good tool for better breathing.

We also explored sound healing using vibration and frequency to calm the nervous system and deepen relaxation together with

A calm, focused way to step into the winter season stronger.
We appreciate the energy. See you at the next one.

Still buzzing from last night. We breathed together, stepped out into -4 celsius, and hit a run that reminded us why movement feels better together. Much love to all those that showed up 🫶health x Sthlm - and yes, we tested the new nasal strips. Feedback is welcome! 👃

Are you congested? Try this for instant release!

In the colder months, congestion hits harder. Cold air outside and dry indoor heat make the nose swell and block, and most of us switch to mouth breathing.

But, your nose is your built-in filter and heater!
It warms the cold winter air, humidifies it, filters bacteria, and produces nitric oxide to help oxygen travel through your body.

You can open your nose naturally in under a minute. Here’s how:
– Take a gentle inhale and exhale through your nose (if possible)
– Pinch your nose
– Hold your breath (on exhale) and your head until you feel an urge to breathe
– Release and inhale softly through your nose
Rest 30 seconds and repeat 5–6 rounds

This boosts CO₂ and blood flow inside the nose, helping the tissues relax and the congestion literally ”melt” away.

A simple, natural reset, especially important during the colder season for all winter warriors!

Thanks you for the cover photo 🙌🏽

Ever find yourself wide awake at 4 AM with a mind racing, heart alert, like your body suddenly decided it’s morning?

That’s not motivation. It’s biology.

Cortisol, your main stress hormone, should rise slowly between 3–6 AM to wake you naturally.

But when your nervous system stays in “on” mode, from chronic stress, anxious thoughts, or hormonal shifts, that rise comes too soon.

Your body floods with alertness hormones while sleep pressure (the adenosine buildup that helps you stay asleep) hasn’t yet peaked.

The result: early waking, light sleep, and missing out on the deep and REM cycles that rebuild your muscles, balance your hormones, and clear your emotional load.

This pattern often intensifies with age as estrogen and testosterone declines, the body becomes more sensitive to cortisol, meaning the same stress that you could once brush off now hits harder.

You don’t need a lab test to know when your cortisol rhythm is off, your body tells you through those restless nights and early wake-ups.

What helps is rebuilding rhythm:
🌙 Keep consistent sleep and wake times.
🕯️ Dim lights and screens an hour before bed since blue light and dopamine-driven arousal delay melatonin.
💨 Slow, nasal breathing or a 4-6 rhythm (inhale 4 s, exhale 6 s) lowers sympathetic tone and calms the HPA axis.
👸🏽In perimenopause or menopause, allow extra rest and stable routines, your system needs more recovery, not more hustle.

Good sleep isn’t just hours in bed, it’s a conversation between your hormones, nervous system, and habits.

When you listen to that conversation with care, your body remembers how to rest 🧬

You breathe 20,000 times a day, but most of those breaths are stuck in your neck.

When we spend hours looking down at screens, the muscles around vertebrae C3–C5 (where the phrenic nerve runs) become stiff and compress the signal that tells your diaphragm to move.

New research shows that people with hypertension, ADHD, ADD, or DAMP can be especially sensitive to this neck tension, their systems already fight to regulate stress, so the extra stiffness amplifies anxiety, restlessness, and elevated blood pressure.

To reset: roll your shoulders, gently move your neck, inhale through your nose for 4 seconds, exhale for 6.
Two minutes of this restores vagal tone, re-awakens the diaphragm, and reminds your body how to rest and recover.
