Nytt år = Nya möjligheter!

2026 är här - och med det en möjlighet att sätta en intention för det nya året. Hur vill du att det ska se ut? Vad vill du behålla i ditt liv, och vad vill du släppa? Vad behöver du, och vad saknar du? Vad vill du ha mer av, och vad vill du ha mindre av? Vad behöver du förändra - och hur ska du nå dit du vill?

Det här är viktiga frågor som vi behöver ställa oss med jämna mellanrum för att kunna utvecklas och må bra - inte bara i samband med ett nytt år. Men ett nytt år innebär en förändring och en möjlighet att ta ett samlat grepp om sin livssituation.

Frågorna kan vara lättare att ställa än att svara på, och om man inte riktigt vet vad man vill eller hur man ska nå dit så kan det vara lätt hänt att man fastnar - och så händer ingenting. Eller så trycker man plattan i mattan och kör i full fart framåt utan egentlig riktning, bara för att sluta i en krasch. Inget av sätten är särskilt hjälpsamt för våra långsiktiga mål och drömmar.

Efter att själv ha gjort en resa i personlig utveckling där jag både vänt upp och ner och ut och in på det mesta i mitt liv under många år, vet jag vad som har varit allra mest hjälpsamt för mig. Det har varit att komma hem till mig själv och min kropp. Att landa i stillhet i en miljö där jag känner mig trygg och stöttad - på insidan såväl som på utsidan. Från den platsen har jag sedan kunnat växa och utvecklas, och bygga det liv jag vill ha - på ett hållbart sätt. Det är en ständigt pågående process som aldrig tar slut, men jag har kommit långt, och jag är otroligt stolt över den resa jag har gjort. Och jag vill gärna dela mina kunskaper och erfarenheter med dig, och vara ett stöd på din resa.

I am proud to be a certified Biology of Trauma® Professional by Dr. Aimie Apigian!

This means that I have completed a 1 year-training to understand trauma at the biological level, & learn how to address stored trauma in the body through the 3 essential pillars of somatic, parts & biology work.

My training in the Biology of Trauma® model complements my existing knowledge & skills as a trauma-informed yoga teacher. I now have a solid foundation for understanding my clients' needs holistically, with skills to identify root causes & patterns underlying symptoms, & knowing how to address them. All from a science-based approach.

An Extract of My Newsletter for December:

Time To Celebrate!🥳

I am now a fully certified Biology of Trauma Professional® 🤩 In 2026 I wish to share this expertise with you ❤️

2025 is coming to a close. Whatever it has brought you, I hope you can give yourself some time during the holidays to reflect on the experiences you have gained, whether they hold joy, sorrow, laughter, pain or something else.

I have had my shares of sorrow and pain for sure, but also a lot of joy, laughter and beauty. The continous practice of yoga has taught me to embrace it all, not fighting the uncomfortable or running away from it, nor avoiding it or stuffing it down in some dark corner of my body (it will eventully surface with time, I promise 😉). The ability to stay present with what is and surf the waves of life's ups and downs is a true blessing.

However, if you haven't learnt the skills to do this, it is completely understandable that you fall into survival patterns. Perhaps you make sure to stay busy, constantly filling up your time in motion, only to crash into bed in the evening and waking up feeling non-rested. It may feel too dangerous to pause and come into stillness. Or maybe you numb yourself, with or without substances, shutting down those raw emotions that overwhelm you. Feeling might be life-threatening.

Regardless of how it is for you, I want you to know that there is a biological explanation to your survival patterns. And - your body is actually doing its very best to keep you alive. That is what it is designed for! My wish to you is that you, with this knowledge, can bring some self-compassion into the equation, and thank your body for keeping you alive.

I'm taking my next best step with my teachings to inspire, guide & support you on your journey towards better health, personal development & resilience, & I'm happy to take it with you! ❤️

As November has taken its grip on autumn with its dark colours & cold humid weather, space opens up for reflection & deeper inner work. It's in this space between that we can choose to receive the gift of pausing to let go of those things that no longer serves us, & open up to our next best step forward.

I'm taking this time to wrap up my studies in the Biology of Trauma® for now, as I'll be a fully certified Biology of Trauma® Professional in a few weeks. I've gained both personal mastery in building my own regulation & resilience, & deepened my professional competency in how to safely apply trauma-informed somatic practices with clients. I've learnt to identify root causes & patterns underlying symptoms & chronic health conditions, & know how to address them. All for the benefit of physical, emotional & mental health.

During this autumn I've also begun my work to take my teachings online through a program for holistic health & well-being. I want to take all that I've learnt on my personal & professional healing journey & package it into an offer through which I'd be happy to guide you. My plan is to launch the program in 2026.

Initially I'll be offering my courses in Swedish only. For this reason I'll be shifting most of my work into Swedish in the near future, including e-mails & social media blog posts.

I'll continue to offer private sessions (PT-yoga), host yoga retreats, & teach studio classes & trauma adapted yoga (TAY). I'll not continue to teach donation based yoga live online classes, & so my last one will be on Tuesday 18 November at 17.30-19.00. You are welcome to join as always. With that I'm wishing you a beautiful weekend in the (finally!) sunny autumn weather. I'll be taking a walk in the forest in which I took this photo. Pausing to notice the simplest wonders of nature helps me ground myself, feel more safe inside & be more present.
