Working together with organisations and institutions, i’mable Collective nurtures and develops a community of artists and makers with disabilities to showcase their talents and strengthen their abilities in artisanal fields.

On 4 Nov, Katy, Diana, Yvonne, Jacob and four volunteers from the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH) learnt how to make the “No Sew Tote Bag” from 10 students and their teacher, Ms Eve Tan from Temasek Poly - School of Design (Official)

After this hands-on workshop, our makers and their volunteers will improvise and produce these bags for sale under the Touch Art Programme, a platform that showcases their visually impaired talents, providing them opportunities to socialise with others and employment opportunities through handicrafts.

Do support them when these tote bags go on sale 😊

International Artist’s Day on 25 Oct honours artists and their contributions. The day also celebrates one of the most famous artists, Pablo Picasso, who was born on 25 Oct 1881.

At the Collective, we nurture and develop a community of artists and makers with disabilities to showcase their talents and strengthen their abilities in artisanal fields. This multi-sectoral platform comprises partners in the people, public and private sectors who, together with persons with disabilities, are motivated to collaborate and contribute towards the development of a viable market for quality merchandise that is created by persons with disabilities, supporting their meaningful vocation.

Featuring art paintings by artists from MINDS, one of the largest and oldest Social Service Agency (SSA) in Singapore. Their MINDS Craft programme trains persons with intellectual disabilities on their creativity, enabling them to express themselves through different art forms and deliver quality products through meaningful work engagement.

Watch this video to find out how Mr. Gan Boon Leong, a master craftsman at SPD bookbindery, together with Zachery from Heirloom Threads, made a clutch bag with NDP 2022 artwork created by Metta Welfare Association 慈光福利协会.

This bespoke clutch bag was specially made for President Halimah Yacob and presented to her at this year’s National Day Istana Open House.

We’re so proud of Wei Lun from Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore who designed an EZ-link card for Go-Ahead SG’s 6th year anniversary. To celebrate our 6th anniversary, Wei Lun, an artist from Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore (CPAS) and a commuter of Bus Service 68, designed this very special artwork for the limited edition EZ-link card. Wei Lun has been drawing since young with a great interest in buildings, landmarks and nature. He draws his inspiration from life experience, telling a story in every creation.

Wei Lun used to take bus service 68 for his community mobility training at CPAS School and hopes to show his gratitude towards the bus transport system and bus captains through art.

Thank you, Wei Lun, for dedicating this piece to us. We’re delighted that our bus captains have provided you with a safe and pleasant ride.
