HAPPY BARE FOOD SUNDAY!
Today's Feature veg is...
Emperor Vegetable (εΈηŽ‹θœ)!
This is a green leafy vegetable commonly and easily grown in our tropics.

Health Benefits
High in vitamins A & C and also minerals such as iron, zinc, magnesium and calcium.

It's unique characteristic is its succulent mucilage, which according to TCM beliefs, helps to remove toxins and mucus from the body when consumed.
It has cooling properties and serves as a good source of fibre low in calories and fats.

How to Cook
It tastes best when simply blanched, just add a drizzle of good oil eg. Olive oil, Sacha inchi etc. and a dash of light soya sauce to bring out its natural flavours!
