💧 Hidden Leakage: You Can’t See It, But Your Skin Feels It.​

Many people with a stoma experience skin irritation from hidden leakage — tiny amounts of output that sneak under the baseplate, damaging skin without visible signs.​

🔍 Why does hidden leakage happen?​
If the hole in your baseplate is too small, it can press on the stoma, absorb moisture, and slowly lift off from the center.​
If the hole is too large, output can touch your skin directly and cause irritation.​

✅ The key is a perfect fit!​
Here’s how to reduce the risk:​
📏 Use a measuring guide to get the right stoma size​
✂️ Cut the baseplate carefully with curved scissors​
🪞 Use a mirror to check for a snug (not tight!) fit​
