Step 5: Practice Being Mindful

Without any judgement, just allow yourself to truly experience the present moment you are in.

Being aware of each thought, emotion, and if any bodily sensations arise for you.

We can be mindful to ground ourselves in any situation we experience, and bring calmness and stability back into our lives.

You have the empathy to many others around you.

This is your generosity to them, give yourself this generosity by identifying your needs.

Knowing what your needs and desires are can be life changing.

Be generous towards yourself and listen to what your needs are.

Have you ever considered demonstrating gratitude towards yourself? We may have always been practicing being thankful and appreciative of what others can do for us or gift us. This sense of gratitude can be incorporated into your day to day lifestyle to allow you to see a different perspective of what your life is and can be.

I’ll take time to share different steps that you can take for your self-compassion journey.

Step 3: Express Gratitude

Instead of hoping for what you wish to have. Show appreciation to what you currently have.

Shift your focus and mindset on your achievements and demonstrate gratitude towards yourself and the live that you have.

Shortcomings and what you don’t have can evolve overtime, just like your strengths. Impermanence exist for everyone.

Being happy is not only about achieving what you had planned to achieve in life. Being happy can be how you help yourself to shift your perspective when times are tough.

Step 2: Employ A Growth Mindset

You didn’t give up on yourself, you took on many challenges in your life rather than avoid. Consider what you are going through that is really tough, to other experiences in your life that you have helped yourself survive through. When you find you are criticizing yourself and negatively comparing yourself with others, try to find inspiration in their successes and strengths instead of feeling threatened or losing out.
