Reflecting back to 2023, how well did you take care of your own health and wellbeing?

➡️ Did you manage to get healthy movement daily?
➡️ Were you able to stay consistent with exercising?
➡️ Did you nourish your body well?
➡️ How was your sleep and recovery?

If there is any need for improvement, this is where you should start:

Can you guess what is my best advice how to avoid gaining weight around the waistline while on vacation? Yes, invest time to work out!!! 💪🏻 If you normally struggle to find time for your workouts, vacations are the best time for you to start building a workout routine. No work obligations, no excuses. You make your schedule.

Start the day at the gym or a run on the beach and you will give the perfect boost to your metabolism so that your body is ready to refill the energy stores at the hotel breakfast.

Our kids love the lazy mornings when we work out and they are allowed to watch Netflix.

➡️ Make sure you have a plan before you hit the gym! You want to be efficient with the time you have. Get a workout plan from your PT, or reach out to me and I’m happy to help.

➡️ Make sure your hotel has a gym before booking or find a studio with classes nearby. We had such a great gym and I loved seeing so many hotel guests working out 👏🏻

Are you happy with your efforts to take care of your health and wellbeing this year? Have you been able to keep up with a regular workout routine?

Don’t be too hard on yourself if you had some pupms on the road. We all fall off the wagon from time to time. I have not been as rigorous with my own workout routine lately.

➡️ The question is what are you going to do about it right now? Not in the new year, but now. Take your calendar out and plan your workouts for the rest of the year.

➡️ Planning ahead is one of the most powerful tools you have to get your workouts done, to make progress and to reach your goals. Plan your workouts now and finnish the year strong 💪🏻

Stay active on vacation! Try something new and inspiring ✨ The perfect relaxing beach day starts with a workout. I love trying new instructors and new workouts when traveling. Loved the inspiring pilates & flexibility session this morning with .bingin Highly recommend her classes in Binging or Canggu! Sometimes I can get bored at regular pilates or stretching classes, but this class was totally unexpected and definitely sweaty ✨

I might sound like broken record, but believe me adding exercising to your lazy beach holidays will make you feel goo in your body and more energised by the end of your holidays.

Join me Tuesdays 6pm for for an efficient, slow paced workout, suitable for all levels.

Strenght training becomes even more important with age, but lifting weights is not the only option out there. Try this Slow Resistance Training method and you might fall in love with it 🤍

Women start to lose muscle mass after the age of 30. If you are not strenght training, this is when you should start. We need muscles to prevent injuries, to balance, to store energy (the food we eat) and to keep our metabolism up.

Building muscle not only makes you look and feel good, it also helps to boost your metabolism and burn fat Stay strong! 🔥

A throwback to a photoshoot back in Seoul. I remember the photographer was so impressed I could mimic a wheel after my kids. For us this was just what we used to practice together all the time. Do you play games and work out with your kids? Help your children build the healthy habits that they can keep for life!

When children get high amounts of physical activity and confidence early in life they are more likely to be physically active later on in life.

The WHO recommendation for children is at least 60 min of moderate intensity physical activity daily. School recess does not add up to this.

If your child is not into exercising, let them try different sports, get friends to join them, set goals and even rewards to keep them active. I don’t care if rewarding is not part of your parenting style. They are building their future health. These are the same habit building tricks we can use for ourselves. Give them time to build confidence in that sport. Once they get better at it they might just learn to like it.
There is something for everyone.

It is our job as parents to teach our children the right habits even though some of them feel harder than others.

You can be the role model and show them that you take ownership of your health and wellbeing. Only you have the power to do it.

Back home from Borneo and enjoying a well needed run with my guys right after the flight ✈️ Bounce back to your workout routine directly after returning from holidays 💪🏻 Roll out the yoga mat or get out for a run straight after your flight or a car/train ride to turn on your metabolism and to reduce swelling and puffiness caused by prolonged sitting and air pressure in the plain. You will feel a hundred times better after moving your body ✨

➡️ Make sure to schedule in your workouts for the first work week in advance.
➡️ Make a plan B! What movement can you do if the first week back is too hectic and you can’t make it to your planned workouts

Welcome to my new happy place 🧡 I have moved five times in the last eight years. That’s a lot of new beginnings in new cities, countries and continents. And it always takes time to build up new routines. Losing the usual running route and good running buddies might mean that I lose the habit of running for a while. It can be frustrating to build a new workout routine that would match the expectations of what existed somewhere else.

The beauty in all this change is that is that it pushes me to try new sports, instructors and gyms, and to find new workout buddies.

When was the last time you tried a new workout or learned a new sport? Are you struggling to build a workout routine that lasts longer than the first few weeks? Perhaps you are forcing yourself through workouts you don’t enjoy.

➡️ Try something new to spark new motivation to your workouts! Find new workout buddies who inspire you and help you to stay accountable.

From Stockholm to Singapore I’m so grateful to have found this workout form. For me it’s absolutely the most efficient, effective and enjoyable workout to build strength 💪🏻 I can’t get the same results out of myself in the gym.

Don’t settle for borning workouts.

Find inspiring instructors who can get you out of your comfort zone 🌟

Try different workouts, sports and methods that get you addicted 🔥

Bring your partner, your friends, your colleagues or your kids along and make it a challenge 🏆

If you have not been able to build a regular workout routine, take a moment to reflect; what is your biggest obstacle? What could help you to succeed? There is a strategy for everyone. You just need to trick your brain to get over the threshold of building a habit that sticks for life.

I’m soooo happy I found the only place in Singapore offering these workout methods ❤️

We’re getting to the end of this week. How many hours of physical activity = exercising will you reach this week? Are your numbers inspiring? Please share it with us! We can all use some extra motivation ✨

If you are not impressed by your performance this week, no worries, you have the whole weekend ahead of you! The least you can do is to give yourself an honest answer.

Is there room for improvement? You can make a change for better today. Not on Monday. Today. You don’t want to postpone your helath and wellbeing 🤍
