🙌𝙇𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙟𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙗𝙚 𝙜𝙡𝙖𝙙.. Psalm 96:11🙌 Closing the week again, I wanna give thanks & sing praises to Lord Jesus for the smooth procedure rendered past Wednesday 🙌𝗣𝗧𝗟🙌

Dr Charles has had a tele-consultation with me yesterday to analyse the report results of the procedure (Sigmoidoscopy) rendered by him - I was cleared of the remaining colon (sigmoid or pelvic colon) with no negative development & polyp found, so my surgery case (March 2024) is then fully closed.

But the attainment of the remission state would to be postponed till September 2028 due to the growth of the small nodule detected in my left lung earlier (as detailed in my earlier FB post) - to be further closely monitored (till the CT scan to be done this coming October) by the medical team. I look forward now to a CG retreat in Malaysia next weekend in closer fellowship with Him corporately. Truly appreciate all your prayers🙏

As we're closing the week, I wanna give thanks & sing praises to Lord Jesus for the many lessons learned this week 🙌𝗣𝗧𝗟🙌 While my next few days may be challenging, I'm looking forward to the consultation coming Monday with my cardiologist, Dr Edgar who would to assess my cardiac fitness for performing a Sigmoidoscopy the coming Wednesday on my remaining colon (left 1/3) by Dr Charles - my chief (colorectal) surgeon. These medical arrangements were made pretty last minute & only confirmed (on 20 July) by the medical team after reviewing my latest condition as shared previously. Beseeching again your intercessions, I'm truly grateful 🙏

I'm absolutely thankful for the immense opportunity to be able to contribute to the development of Singapore Music, etc within its music educators' community... This helps me mark important milestone for greater motivation & goal as I move on en route my this faith-cancer journey with greater meaning & purpose, instead of self-glory - but more to encourage other cancer patients like myself to step up, living one's remaining life with greater sense of purpose, continuously & courageously inspiring others to contribute back to the society with one's giftings...

𝘼 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙙𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩

👋 Hi all, my blood test done on 11/07 shows my cancer markers ran pretty with CEA @ 0.6 (previously 1.0) [new marker 1.3 - transiting to the new system reading^] & CA19-9 @ 4.4 (previously 8.6) [2.6^]. And my PET scan indicates the absence of any bright spot @ the original places. I'm thankful for the dips with all other results from the report showing flying colours 🙌 PTL 🙌.

However, the CT scan reveals a growing nodule @ my left lung lower lobe, from 0.2 to 0.4 cm. Dr Ben has initiated a further investigation whilst scheduling for a CT scan in October to see if it continues to grow & if big enough to render a surgical removal with biopsy to see if this was spread initially from my colon undetected (not being responsive to all the chemo treatments at the max rendered previously) & then to see what's the next step to take.

But I calmly embrace the news & commit it to the Lord as it's good to always lean on Him rather than to begin feeling rather complacent with the seemingly gradual restoration - so as to be fully dependent on His grace - likens to Paul's thorn (2 Cor 12:7-10): 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗸, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 🙌

My most recent trip to Guangzhou with Alice was really very fruitful - especially acquainted with the fruit - Wampee 黃皮 during an excursion to a local farm there ripe full of Lychee along with Wampee for harvest...

I like the taste of the Wampee - local to the Guangzhou region - the discovery of it led me to some deep research on it... It's actually very beneficial to cancer patients..!!

Like most citrus fruits, its peels contain excellent agents that combat different types of cancer...

Eating properly cleaned citrus peels that contain many beneficial properties, such as being high in antioxidants and vitamin C is efficacious in fighting cancer. However, one should be mindful when consuming these peels as they are pretty acidic. Consider consuming them in moderation.

Still, I'll be trying out the blending of the citrus peels from different fruit types with some small amount of their pulps for consumption, probably daily.

👋 Yay.. today's The Lord's Day again - giving thanks to Him for the completion of a very critical full blood & urine test with a PET/CT scan rendered past Friday 🙌 PTL 🙌

My medical week 11-16 July would be of the utmost importance as I’ll be having the test review tomorrow with Dr Ben (my oncologist) to be followed by seeing Dr Charles (my chief surgeon) on 15 July to discuss on the possibility of a colonoscopy based on this test review - and if I would be declared the attainment of the 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻. Dr Lim (my TCM oncologist) would then be looking at what & how to move forward thereafter during the consultation with him on 16 July.

Thanks so very much for journeying with us thus far… I would humbly beseech all to help intercede for a favorable outcome🙏 Let’s continue to praise & serve Him no matter what whilst walking in full faith in Him 🙏🙏🙏

𝘛𝘳𝘪𝘱 𝘙𝘦𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘏𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘒𝘰𝘯𝘨 & 𝘎𝘶𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘻𝘩𝘰𝘶

🤲 Terribly thankful for the recent overseas trip in terms of new learning experience, blessedness, fruitfulness & protection. Besides the initial accompanying of my dear Alice who presented her workshops for the various groups of music teachers in Hong Kong & Guangzhou, the greatest take-away was in fact relational.

The bonding with Alice outside the daily back-home routine, new connections made with people - meeting up with friends & making new ones alike & most importantly - seeing how that the God Almighty loves His people no-matter-what regardless of their faiths...

The strengthening of faith in Him was in sync with the building-up of my body & mental strength bearing in mind that this round of trip was actually rendered longer than any before in the light of my medical condition since August 2023 pertaining to the areas of: - Overseas food affecting bowel movements (selective consumption)
- Sleeping patterns
- More hectic movements - needed to rush at times due to set schedules
- Changing weather conditions
- Spontaneous mental planning for place visits

The joy that we've experienced together - mainly witnessing God's wisdom in the people we met in their dealings, creativity, approach to living - in the past glorious histories of human cultures, in the current businesses they run, in the present farms they manage, in the regional systems of things - all we see are but vibrancy & the will to strive & moving on...

It's all pretty positive... 👍👍👍

Yes indeed, I've been in my own daily exercise program (coming to almost 2 years) with the 30 - 90 minutes of morning walk (except Sundays) - which has become my daily routine. I actually know quite a bit about the benefits of sustained daily morning walk - especially after witnessing many cancer-survivor friends who walk & exercise a great deal daily & they're doing well & getting stronger... Their live examples are so impactful to me.

Besides, I also perform 平甩功 Swinging-hand Workout (Very Basic Qigong) 10 minutes twice daily & a little of the Stretching Workouts (拉伸操) developed by 东方比利 (Billy Wang) shared in my past Facebook posts here:

Glad that this morning's devotional passage reminds me - to counter & replace all my anxieties with prayers & thanksgivings whilst focusing my mind on whatever that is positive... so as to attain the 𝙋𝙀𝘼𝘾𝙀 that's so essential to all, especially to all of us who are cancer patients.

This passage makes me gain awareness - that whenever I begin to dwell on hellish & destructive thought patterns, I should always shift at once to focus my mind on heavenly goodnesses instead...

Indeed, today's devotion has been particularly meaningful - especially to musician like myself. In musical term, harmony forms - when 2 or more musical notes are played together rendering some desirable tonal qualities & musical effects that help set the overall tone / sentiment of a music piece, usually pleasant sounding (being mostly consonant) & preferably euphonious in character.

And one would find that music has been a true reflection of human daily activities & dealings including relationships. The relationships between musical notes for most of the time - point succinctly to the human & even divine relationships as well...

𝙈𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧'𝙨 𝘿𝙖𝙮 💐🌹

👋 Hi all, my blood test done past Tuesday shows again only the cancer markers running with CEA @ 1.0 (previously 1.2) & CA19-9 @ 8.6 (previously 6.0). Since January this year, there's an apparent gradual upward trend of both my CEA markers - though thankfully still within safe zones according to Dr Ben, my oncologist 🙌 PTL 🙌. I guess - this 📈 trend probably shows my increasing activities over these past months - hopefully, not getting too hectic & out of hands in the days to follow... Again, the other elements in the blood test were not assessed this round till 11 July - when I'm required to do a full blood test with PET/CT scan - aiming to attain the state of remission on 15 July after consulting both Dr Ben & Dr Charles (my chief surgeon).

I also thank the Lord that my dad was discharged from SGH today after recovery from his intestinal infection, back to the nursing home in JB to continue his rehab, prayerfully to complete it in a month's time 🙏
