Once again, the Association of Hypnosis Professionals (AHPS) is hosting a conference as an outreach program. Singapore's 4th Hypnotism Conference is on March 30, 2019, from 12.30 pm to 6.30 pm. The event is fully sponsored so admission is free and participants can expect to learn valuable stuff from our expert speakers. Also, they can get free lunch from 1pm and high tea at 4 pm. Wishing our Indian friends, Happy Deepavali!

A lot of things have happened since our last public event on Jan 7th 2017 which attracted more than 170 people.

One main thing- AHPS has secured an exclusive professional indemnity for all its members and it will be implemented from Jan 2018 onwards.

This professional indemnity from ERGO, a U.K. Based insurance company will cover practising members worldwide except USA and Canada. It will cover not only hypnotherapy but also Counselling, Coaching, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Energy Healing and other related Healing modalities. The insurance will also cover public liability and premises liability.

You may go to www.ahps.org and sign up as a member by filling out the online fillable form under Membership and then press submit. A representative or the Membership Officer may contact you to follow up.

Those interested to join AHPS but without the required number of live training hours may join as an Associate Member and those interested but without any training may join as an Affiliate member. The online Straits Times version of the news on our event yesterday quoted a psychiatrist:

A PLACE FOR HYPNOTHERAPY
"It may benefit those who don't or can't talk about their problems and have consciously or unconsciously blocked negative memories for years".

DR ANG YONG GUAN, a psychiatrist with 30 years' experience, says there is a place for hypnotherapy, which has gained more acceptance as a profession.

As usual the man in the white coat has the last say. However it's good to note that they too are beginning to become aware of our profession.

So keep up the good work and help people and more and more people will become aware of our presence. Step by step we make inroads to being accepted as mainstream healing by one and all. 👍😊😀👏🌹

Good morning AHPS Members!

Thank you to all those who helped out in one way or another to make our World Hypnotism Day public event a great success.

The turnout was very good! The event will be covered in tomorrow's Sunday Times.

All the speakers did us proud. Those who flew in just for this event from Thailand, KL, Sarawak and Indonesia which included medical doctors were not disappointed!

In the beginning all chairs were filled. We had ordered 170 chairs. Towards the end when we had our Q & A, there were still about 155 people present! It was a fantastic afternoon filled with information on various hypnotherapy topics and demonstrations.

Thank you everyone! The synergy and team work of all volunteers and speakers were praiseworthy!

Together we soar!!!
