Pro Vice Chancellor of Science and Technology at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Dr. Narayana Sabhahit, Embarks on a Quest for learning life-saving skill of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)*

Manipal, September 27, 2023 - In a remarkable display of dedication to advancing emergency medical knowledge, Pro Vice Chancellor of Science and Technology at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Dr. Narayana Sabhahit, took it upon himself to explore the intricacies of cardiac arrest resuscitation on a recent visit to the Emergency Department (ED). This self-driven initiative underscores the commitment of educators at MAHE to stay at the forefront of medical advancements.

During his visit, Dr. Sabhahit received a warm welcome and valuable insights from Dr. Prithvishree Ravindra, an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. Dr. Prithvishree is at the helm of the Centre for Cardiac Arrest Research and Education (CARE).
Professor Sabhahit shared his vision that every student entering MAHE should possess fundamental first aid and resuscitation skills. He expressed his intention to personally advocate for the integration of such training into the curriculum.
