Address chronic pain and injury by understanding the psychology of your bodymind BodyTalk is a holistic, consciousness-based healthcare system that utilises our body’s natural wisdom that we are born with to facilitate the self-healing process. When we understand the Consciousness and Belief Systems locked into the body-mind we are led to find the underpinnings of disease and symptom manifestation. By establishing the parts of the body-mind that are imbalanced, BodyTalk formulas are then tapped out energetically to promote communication, synchronisation and balance; thus allowing the body-mind to function as a whole. BodyTalk can be used to address and are not limited to the following:
Allergies/Intolerances, Arthritis, Anxiety, Auto-immune Diseases, Chronic Pain, Circulation Problems, Chronic Stress, Constipation, Depression, Digestive Issues, Eczema, Emotional Imbalance, Fears/Phobias, Fibromyalgia, Headaches/Migraines, Hormonal Imbalances, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Infections, Learning Difficulties, Life Blockage/Transition, Menstrual Irregularities, Nervous System Problems, Sports Injuries/Performance/Rehabilitation and many more. We look at all factors that can influence physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health; including environmental, genetic and hereditary stressors. Understanding that every person has a different life experience that influences their state of health, each session is personalized to the individual. It is safe, non-invasive and suitable for babies, children and adults alike. The BodyTalk System’s East meets West integrative approach with a focus on consciousness-based healing allows our Body-Mind to reap maximum benefits. BodyTalk is a journey to understanding how we can achieve true health for ourselves. Along the way, we gain self-awareness and ultimately, attain wisdom for ourselves to live an intentional life.

💦 Water carries hidden meaning. Prof. Emoto has spent his lifetime investigating the crystalline structures of water under different environments.
➕ Positive vs. ❎ Negative Stimuli
Emoto's experiments involved exposing water samples to various stimuli, including words, music, and images, and then freezing the water to examine the resulting ice crystals. He asserted that positive stimuli (e.g., "love," "thank you") resulted in intricate, symmetrical, and beautiful crystal formations, while negative stimuli (e.g., "hate," "idiot") produced distorted, asymmetrical, and sometimes even fragmented crystals.
❤ Influence of Emotions
Emoto claimed that emotions like love, gratitude, and joy had a positive impact on water's structure, leading to the formation of harmonious crystals. He suggested that these findings have implications for our own health and well-being, given the high water content of the human body.
🧠 Water as a Memory
Emoto proposed that water can "memorize" vibrations from its environment, including thoughts, emotions, and music. He believed that these "memories" could be recorded in the crystalline structure of water.
🫶 Potential for Healing
Emoto's work implied that by consciously expressing positive emotions and intentions, we could potentially heal ourselves and the planet, given that both humans and the Earth are largely composed of water.
🔎 Try it yourself to see its effects!

The BodyTalk System has a different perspective of balancing the immune system. Unlike western medicine where antibiotics are often prescribed to treat infections, BodyTalk seeks to optimise the immune system to the infection.
What does optimise mean exactly? It can do so mainly in 2 ways, depending on the scenario.
Scenario 1: Lowering the immune system in the case of an OVER reaction.
Firstly, by recognizing the infection as a friend rather than an enemy, so that our immune system doesn't launch an attack - what we call an allergic or intolerant reaction (e.g. to dust, gluten, wheat, lactose, pollen etc) .
Scenario 2: Heightening the immune system in the case of an UNDER reaction.
Our immune system is designed to store a copy of the "antigen" (enemy) in its database so as to be able to detect future attacks of the enemy. This is what vaccination does - by injecting a small copy of the enemy into our body, our immune system can recognize it so that in the future when it sees the same enemy again, it can produce adequate amount of antibodies to fight it.
The use of antibiotics in unnecessary situations wipes out our microbiome and its diversity, which is essential for building a healthy immune system.
BodyTalk sessions may be helpful for those seeking an alternative way of:
- eliminating allergies/intolerances
- reducing redness/inflammation (a sign of immune system overreaction)
- gastrointestinal disorders (a sign of gut microbiome imbalance/immune system dysregulation)
- infections (e.g. EBV, Covid, H-Pylori, Ringworm and many more)
The number of BodyTalk sessions required is based on the severity and complexity of the case and is hence different for each individual.
A Certified BodyTalk Practitioner is not licensed to prescribe antibiotics, NSAID, painkiller or any other pharmaceutical drug, and is not a replacement for your GP. Blood test results are highly recommended for those with severe allergies.
Our body is highly intelligent - it is time for us to learn to maximise its potential for heath.

This Stephania Erecta was balding for a few years. I thought it would never have more than 2 to 4 leaves. I had never adjusted its watering schedule or position at the window, neither do I have green fingers.
Out of the blue 6 leaves starting sprouting giving me a shock! 😂
We all have a season to grow. We just need to wait for the right time to bloom.
BodyTalk helps to release negative beliefs and mindsets so that you can live life to your fullest potential. Change is just round the corner!

I had just returned back from a trek last month. One of my worries was with health because we were in a remote area, eg. altitude sickness and whether I could walk the long distances. Whilst our insurance covered Helicopter evacuation, I did not want to take my chances.
Alas, accidents happen. The night before we started, my friend accidentally hit 2 fingers on a low ceiling fan. Her fingers swelled up immediately with superficial cuts. Immediately I did several rounds of the BodyTalk Fast Aid. The purpose was to calm down the brain and to expedite the healing response. The pain subsided and by the 3rd day they were no longer bothering her.
We covered >50km in the first 3 days. By Day 3 my left hip felt increasingly worse. It had half the range of motion compared to the right and I needed to use my arms to support it whilst getting off the bed. I loosened my laces to widen the toe box for greater feet expansion and to allow the foot to roll and absorb impact to prevent all the forces from going to the hip. I also did stretching but the sensation wasn’t easing off. I had no idea how I was going to survive the rest of this trip. Desperate, I ran a BodyTalk session.
The concept of time came up - I was too worried about the future and not being present during the trek. I ran a full-circulation plug-in to allow blood flow to the area to restore muscle function and clear the lymph out which represented my worries. And I balanced it to my brain to calm down the amygdala, reduce cortisol levels and bring my body back to harmony.
The next day, the strain on the left hip disappeared completely. I stopped looking at the clock constantly, counting the distances and the time we were supposed to reach the next village based on the signposts. I stopped caring whether we finished the trek. I stopped asking my guide about the temperatures we were going to face at higher altitudes. I let go of whether it would rain or shine and how it would affect my mood, my clothing allocation for the rest of the trip and if I could take photos or not. I just put one foot in front of the other following and trusting my guide that it would all work out in the end. And it did!

AI is here to stay and has its advantages as it represents advancements in technology. Some of us like it more than others but we can safely agree that it is here to stay. However good it is it will never replace human touch when it comes to healthcare.
Here is why: We need full use of our senses to pick up information from the patient. We are not just seeing their symptom, but hearing their thoughts, smell if there are any odours, feeling for tension in the body. Is the patient nervous, tired, restless? Observation is key and comes with years of experience.
Human connection/Heart: human beings are wired for connection as a means of survival. Research has shown that social bonding releases oxytocin and during isolation (e.g Covid Quarantine), incidence of depression increases. AI is unable to recreate such connection no matter how intelligent it is as a system. This is also why Studio Ghibli’s key figure of Japanese animation, Hayao Miyazaki, was arguably upset about how AI was generating animated images in seconds.
Fullproofness: AI is subject to breakdowns in the system. Although it is constantly upgrading, it is a black box. Since the key philosophy of The BodyTalk System is all about balance, over-dependence or over-utilisation on AI reduces our human brain’s ability to think critically and evaluate, skills that are honed over time. It is unable to replicate human intuition when it comes to assessment, evaluation and treatment.
Full disclaimer: I have used ChatGPT previously to try to generate meaningful instagram posts… However after a few tries I have decided it somewhat lacked “a human touch” and decided my own brains and copywriting skills would be better served if I did it myself!

No one has the perfect posture ever. However when we look at the other extreme end of health, no one wants to have serious issues with our spine either for there are nerves that run through our spinal cord that innervate every part of the body!
Issues at the level of the spine is also why we may experience pain in another part of the body that may be different from where the actual injury or problem is located - this is also known as referred pain.
In BodyTalk we are not aiming for picture perfect posture. Rather, BodyTalk utilises Buckminster Fuller's theory of bio-'tensegrity', where the body's structural integrity is not solely determined by the strength of individual parts, but by the dynamic interplay of forces within the system.
This can explain why someone can have scoliosis or extreme asymmetry but not feel pain and vice versa. The soft tissues such as muscles, tendons, ligaments, cartilage have to work synergistically to apply the right tension and forces on our bony structures to create the optimal posture that is at ease. If the right balance is not achieved, such as one side has more tension than the other, it can show up as pain in our body. In architecture, this concept can also be seen in reciprocal frame structures that achieve self-support.
Common observations of spine issues:
- Scoliosis, kyphosis, lordosis
- Slipped Disc, Nerve Impingement
- Spinal Degeneration
- Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar Spondylitis
- Arthritis
- Back pain
- Whiplash
- Spinal fusions
- Pain in another part of the body (i.e. referred pain)
If you have would like to have a deeper insight on how The BodyTalk (Healthcare) System plays a role towards self-awareness of our health issues, do not miss out on our earlier posts on understanding the associations between our psychology with our shoulders and hips!
02/05/2025
Classical symptoms of hip issues include:
- Hip Arthritis
- Hip Fractures
- Hip Tendonitis
- Hip Bursitis
- Weight gain around hips
- Sacroiliac joint pain/dysfunction
- Duck feet or pigeon-toed
- Pelvic imbalance
There is always more than meets the eye. The goal of BodyTalk is not to address the symptom per se, but to look at the underlying psychological imbalances that give rise to physical/structural imbalances in the body.
Examples of major events that affect our foundations in life include:
- Going through significant changes at work/home/life/relationships
- Losing a loved one
- Moving country and resettling
- Going through a divorce
- Changing jobs/career
BodyTalk acts as a complimentary and alternative healthcare modality alongside physiotherapy, osteopathy, podiatry, chiropractor, acupuncture, sports massage and many more to address your physical condition in a meaningful way!

Sometimes we have the ni**le in the shoulder that just doesn't go away with simple stretching. Or it could be that the shoulder accumulates so much tension over time that it results in an injury or dysfunction.
Common shoulder injuries/dysfunction include:
- Frozen shoulder
- Shoulder arthritis or bursitis
- Shoulder dislocation
- Raised shoulders
- Muscle tears and strains
- Rotator cuff injuries
- Winged scapula
Recurring shoulder injuries is usually driven by a recurring behaviour pattern that has been rigid or stuck. However, once we are able to modify that behaviour that is driven by a deep-rooted belief system, we find that the shoulder ni**le/injury/dysfunction goes away and does not recur again.
The goal of every BodyTalk session when addressing injury or dysfunction is always to find the underlying belief systems that keeps the body trapped in a certain behaviour.

To care for a plant, the 3 main factors are:
💦 Hydration: Feed it with clean water and not liquids with high sugar content.
🥗 Diet: Nourish the soil with natural fertilisers like egg-shell, ground coffee. Kill pesticides naturally.
🌎 Environmental factors: Too much direct sun and it will die. Wrong soil and it will not flourish.
For humans we could be viewed the same way as plants despite our organs and anatomy being vastly different. The treatment principles for a human or plant are very much the same in The BodyTalk System.
Therefore, to care for a human:
💦 Hydration: Drinking water vs coke, beer, wine.
🥗 Diet: Eating nutrient dense foods vs eating junk food.
🌎 Environmental factors: Hanging out with supportive people vs negative people.
Changing your environment in order to grow to be a better person.
Can you see the parallels between how you would care for a plant versus how you would care for a human?
The principles of health are universal be it towards a plant, human or animal. That is the true meaning of consciousness based healthcare which The BodyTalk System adopts which makes it so effective.

Xin Hui Aw Yong was previously based in the UK, having completed her undergraduate studies in Sports and Exercise Science and a Masters in Exercise Physiology. She worked as an Applied Exercise Physiologist and Researcher in Exercise & Nutritional Immunology at Loughborough and Bangor University respectively; before returning to Singapore in January 2018. With prior experience in academia using knowledge rooted in scientific evidence, she has always been interested in the epidemiology of various dis-eases. However, she was bothered by the lack of solutions or explanations to the health challenges that face many people in current society.
She discovered the BodyTalk System™ in February 2018 when she had a chronic, stabbing hip pain that could not be resolved with various manual therapies. Initially skeptical, her hip pain disappeared after two BodyTalk sessions. During her sessions, she was given explanations on how her belief systems about herself, expectations from others, physical scars, relationship with previous work, parents’ worry, the transition period she was going through, and emotions of fear, worry and sadness have affected her BodyMind complex. It manifested in the form of tension in the hip, causing limited hip mobility and pain. Once these issues were brought up and 'tapped out', the pain disappeared. She continues to receive regular BodyTalk sessions and have experienced significant improvements in health on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level.
Intrigued by the scientific workings of this Consciousness-based Healthcare, it led her to embark on a journey to become a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner in May 2019 and Coordinator for the courses provided by the International BodyTalk Association. Using BodyTalk techniques, Xin Hui seeks to restore the broken communication within an individual’s BodyMind complex. She now aims to spread the awareness of BodyTalk and use it to help anyone in their journey to achieve better health, simply because she believes we all have the innate capacity to heal. Once we achieve this true state of health, we can live life to the fullest, and without regrets. During her free time, Xin Hui enjoys travelling, climbing, making pottery and cooking.
Due to her previous background in Sports Science and Exercise Physiology, she particularly enjoys working with athletes to help them with sport performance, injury management or rehabilitation. Additionally, she has an interest in helping anyone struggling with life transition, stagnance/blockages in life, stress, anxiety, depression, headaches and chronic health issues.
Xin Hui is available for in-person BodyTalk Sessions at her home clinic (Innsaei Health) or distant sessions.
Fun fact: The word ‘Innsaei’ was inspired by Xin Hui’s love for the country Iceland, where she spent 2.5 weeks on a campervan exploring solo.
