Natalia Rachel shares her voice to begin to remedy the world’s state of hustle, trauma, disconnect, and disrespect. Her insights into the human condition and our profound need for healing, self-compassion, empathy, and human connection, inspire audiences to awaken their hearts, illuminate their patterns and step forward towards self-care and relational repair. Natalia Rachel brings an amalgamation of knowledge from years working as a therapist and clinic director with a focus on trauma & abuse recovery, as well as her own personal journey recovering from mental health misdiagnosis and physical health conditions that stemmed from childhood trauma. She is a proud recipient of the Women Icons Asia Award (emerging entrepreneur) for social impact in the domain of trauma-informed culture transformation & self-mastery education. Her desire to answer the existential questions ‘Why am I?’, ‘Why are you?’, and ‘Why are we?’, started at age 7, and later led her on an incredible journey exploring mainstream & mental healthcare, complementary health care and the spectrum of spirituality and the healing arts. Her professional career commenced in brand & consumer psychology and copywriting. Her calling card was her ability to express complex concepts in accessible and interesting ways and ignite thought and impulse in her audience. As she entered motherhood, she took time off to focus on her children’s formative years and her own personal healing journey. Embarking on a second career, Natalia chose to study as a hypnotherapist and regression therapist, and craniosacral therapist. Fascinated by the mind-body connection and the existential human experience led her to explore trauma, attachment, and somatics and develop her career as a leading voice in trauma recovery, post-traumatic growth & transformation. She also developed the modality ‘Trauma-informed Relational Somatics’ which has been adopted as an integrative tool by therapists around the world. Making her mark on the Singapore healthcare landscape, Natalia built the Soma Clinic brand as the go-to destination for clients suffering from non-diagnostic conditions or symptoms that were non-responsive to mainstream care. Her work as a Clinic Director to illuminate stress & trauma as the root cause of our personal and relational dysfunction opened conversations and avenues for care and recovery for thousands of patients and clients. She continues to place a focus on training healthcare and mental health professionals on trauma-informed care in the hope that medical and social systems will slowly develop policies that are sorely needed to break inter-generational cycles of survival, threat, and trauma. As the world was turned upside down by the Covid Pandemic, Natalia knew that a paradigm shift was required, and so Illuma Health was born. The organization seeks to ‘repair and revitalize the way we look after ourselves and each other.’ The three pillars of business include an online therapy marketplace (specific to trauma, attachment, and somatic therapy), corporate mental health & culture transformation programs, and online education & content development. Natalia believes that in this polarized world where one-to-one human service is grossly unavailable, that content is key. Natalia is personally called on to consult with the world’s leaders to create systemic change and promote personal sustainability and collective vitality. Natalia Rachel is frequently called on to speak and facilitate workshops that inspire a proactive approach to healing and a collective shift towards peace and power. All her work highlights the undoubtable link between mind, body, spirit, and relationships. Her topics include belonging, mental health, trauma & trauma-informed culture, boundaries respect & power, empathy compassion & vulnerability. All her talks blend concepts from science, psychology, interpersonal neurobiology, philosophy, and spirituality in an engaging, accessible format that includes conceptual learning, experiential process, story, self-inquiry, and self-care tool kit development. Audiences walk away feeling energized, hopeful, and empowered to walk their own path of mastery and become accountable for their social footprint. All of her work stems from a desire to support a shift from oppression and suppression, to empowerment and expression, with relationship as the cornerstone for change.
