Natalia Rachel

Natalia Rachel Writer. Poet. Speaker. Educator. Peace and Power Above All. Her messages distill over 20 years of her own lived self-mastery.

Natalia Rachel shares her voice to begin to remedy the world’s state of hustle, trauma, disconnect, and disrespect. Her insights into the human condition and our profound need for healing, self-compassion, empathy, and human connection, inspire audiences to awaken their hearts, illuminate their patterns and step forward towards self-care and relational repair. Natalia Rachel brings an amalgamation of knowledge from years working as a therapist and clinic director with a focus on trauma & abuse recovery, as well as her own personal journey recovering from mental health misdiagnosis and physical health conditions that stemmed from childhood trauma. She is a proud recipient of the Women Icons Asia Award (emerging entrepreneur) for social impact in the domain of trauma-informed culture transformation & self-mastery education. Her desire to answer the existential questions ‘Why am I?’, ‘Why are you?’, and ‘Why are we?’, started at age 7, and later led her on an incredible journey exploring mainstream & mental healthcare, complementary health care and the spectrum of spirituality and the healing arts. Her professional career commenced in brand & consumer psychology and copywriting. Her calling card was her ability to express complex concepts in accessible and interesting ways and ignite thought and impulse in her audience. As she entered motherhood, she took time off to focus on her children’s formative years and her own personal healing journey. Embarking on a second career, Natalia chose to study as a hypnotherapist and regression therapist, and craniosacral therapist. Fascinated by the mind-body connection and the existential human experience led her to explore trauma, attachment, and somatics and develop her career as a leading voice in trauma recovery, post-traumatic growth & transformation. She also developed the modality ‘Trauma-informed Relational Somatics’ which has been adopted as an integrative tool by therapists around the world. Making her mark on the Singapore healthcare landscape, Natalia built the Soma Clinic brand as the go-to destination for clients suffering from non-diagnostic conditions or symptoms that were non-responsive to mainstream care. Her work as a Clinic Director to illuminate stress & trauma as the root cause of our personal and relational dysfunction opened conversations and avenues for care and recovery for thousands of patients and clients. She continues to place a focus on training healthcare and mental health professionals on trauma-informed care in the hope that medical and social systems will slowly develop policies that are sorely needed to break inter-generational cycles of survival, threat, and trauma. As the world was turned upside down by the Covid Pandemic, Natalia knew that a paradigm shift was required, and so Illuma Health was born. The organization seeks to ‘repair and revitalize the way we look after ourselves and each other.’ The three pillars of business include an online therapy marketplace (specific to trauma, attachment, and somatic therapy), corporate mental health & culture transformation programs, and online education & content development. Natalia believes that in this polarized world where one-to-one human service is grossly unavailable, that content is key. Natalia is personally called on to consult with the world’s leaders to create systemic change and promote personal sustainability and collective vitality. Natalia Rachel is frequently called on to speak and facilitate workshops that inspire a proactive approach to healing and a collective shift towards peace and power. All her work highlights the undoubtable link between mind, body, spirit, and relationships. Her topics include belonging, mental health, trauma & trauma-informed culture, boundaries respect & power, empathy compassion & vulnerability. All her talks blend concepts from science, psychology, interpersonal neurobiology, philosophy, and spirituality in an engaging, accessible format that includes conceptual learning, experiential process, story, self-inquiry, and self-care tool kit development. Audiences walk away feeling energized, hopeful, and empowered to walk their own path of mastery and become accountable for their social footprint. All of her work stems from a desire to support a shift from oppression and suppression, to empowerment and expression, with relationship as the cornerstone for change.

We’ve learned to tie romance, love and relationships with agendas. Expectations. Rules. Playbooks. Destinations.

This is the business of love, rather than love itself.

Then we wonder why it’s not feeling as joyful or spacious or uplifting as we had imagined it to be.

What do you think?

I’ve been unpacking this for the last 8 years.

If you’re ready to unpack your entanglement of love and agenda, the Heal for Love multi media series is for you. It’s free. It’s available to pre-register now. Doors open next week!

Trapped emotions don’t disappear, they reshape themselves into tension, pain, shutdown, overwhelm, or patterns we repeat without knowing why.
Understanding these signals is the first step toward reclaiming your safety, aliveness, and connection. 🌿✨

Many of us are very self-protective.

Perhaps we have had to be.

Perhaps we have learned that to be vulnerable is wildly dangerous.

➡️The thing is, the strategies we use to protect ourselves also keep out the good things… and they make it very hard for love to enter our lives.

👉Healing asks us to become so deeply aquatinted with our many protective patterns and begin to witness when we we whip one out, or start building walls, rather than bridges.

👉Next healing asks us to question: ‘Do I really need to protect myself now? Or can I lay this form of protection down?’

Each time we stop self-protecting we make connection possible… we welcome the seed of love in all its forms… in all our relationships.

👉Each time let love in, and experience it with no harm we are learning: love can be safe… it will not hurt me.

🫶For any of us who have had our hearts bruised or shattered, or twisted up or locked away… this is the medicine. To let love be safe again.

A peek inside the somatic classroom…

If you’re a practitioner of any kind this one’s for you…

Somatic therapy is largely about supporting clients to not only connect to the felt sense, but repair their processing pathways… the way the brain and nervous system are responding to and making sense of information.

In order to do this, we need to understand a little bit about the processes of the brain and sensory systems and where our clients disruption may lie.

What do you think?

I’m looking forward to teaching ‘Traumainformed Relational Somatics’ again in Singapore next May and August.

I’m also looking forward to sharing a new training ‘Embodied Somatics’ in Germany in July.

This 3 day program has been developed as an entry point to somatic work with the intention to support clinicians to relate and treat from a somatized point of view and offer building blocks for a safe somatic practise. More info and registration details coming soon!

So many of us have normalized anxiety and emotional burden in our relationships, as if that’s just how love works. But it’s not. It’s a pattern we can heal, together.

Men and women process trauma differently.
What looks like silence for one might be protection for another. What feels like distance could be a way of coping.

Masculinity means different things to each of us and is shaped by culture, pain, and survival.

So how do we meet each other where we are? How do we build understanding instead of judgment?
and how can we hold space for each other’s healing journeys?

One more sleep until Other Lovers opens for pre-sale 🫶

Bringing this first book of the Love S*x Poetry Peace series to life has been one of the most epic non-linear journeys of my life.

From making little notes about love over years, to a broken heart spilling out poetry, to tiny islands in Europe to delve into the philosophy of love and dreaming up an entire fictional world of next level women who are redefining what love it entirely.

And then there was the question… how do I publish this? It was a huge leap of faith to decide to shift from working with a publisher to doing this myself. A bold choice to blend poetry with story. And an even bigger one to weave the worlds of fiction and fantasy with non fiction and self-inquiry.

In the end, I listened to the zeitgeist of women who are on this journey of healing to find love again. And I listened to my own spirit that kept reminding me that this book and accompanying multi media series is something big… it’s so important at this particular moment in time.

We are in an epidemic of lovelessness.
And it’s time we heal our hearts and redraw the template of what we are all creating.

And why not make the journey delicious and spicy and funny and teary and totally imperfect? Because love rarely has pretty bows and does not come with a ‘how to’ instruction leaflet… it’s not ikea folks. It’s more like the sandcastles we stopped building when we were little. The ones that got washed away and we needed to keep moulding lovingly… to keep the dream alive.

I hope you’ll order a copy for you, your bestie, your partner or your whole group of friends.

If you’re in Sydney, I’ll be doing a few cool events in the lead up to the launch. The first one starts tomorrow with

And because I’m all about the slow burn, through 2026 I’ll be travelling all over the globe and exploring cute community style events to touch more hearts. DM to collab.

I hope you’ll offer love this book as much as I have loved writing it.
