Yesterday marks another year of growth, adventure, and self-discovery. It's amazing to reflect on how far I've come since the day I left Singapore to embark on a new chapter in Bend, Oregon. This beautiful city has become my sanctuary, my home away from home.

Leaving behind familiarity was a leap of faith, but it has rewarded me with endless opportunities for personal growth. The journey hasn't always been easy, but the lessons learned have been invaluable.

To my friends and loved ones, near and far, thank you for being a part of my life's journey. Your unwavering support, encouragement, and love have made every step worthwhile. Though miles may separate us, your presence is always felt in my heart.

Life is a beautiful tapestry, and I'm grateful for every thread that has brought me to this point. Cheers to 39 years of resilience, courage, and joy! Here's to making the most of every moment and creating memories that will last a lifetime. 🥂✨

I understood meditation in theory but never really applied it till I got pregnant. It’s kinda like reading about swimming without ever getting into the pool. It’s all just theory. ⁣

As I had a challenging pregnancy one which required me to stop working and be in bed rest. Hence, my physical yoga practice was out of the question & I was cornered into my meditation practice. I remember how my mind was constantly at work. With practice, I realized how beautiful it was to be busking in the present moment. Nowhere to go, nothing to do but just be here, right now at this moment was enough. ⁣

It was like hitting the pause button on a movie & you are able to get a clearer picture of what is on the screen. Now I find solace in my meditation practice. If you like to know more about meditation classes and it’s benefits drop me a DM 🙏🏼☺️⁣

I remember the first time I got into Warrior 3 pose. It was in a group class that I wasn’t supposed to be in, you see I thought it was a beginner’s class but I got the schedule mixed up and it was more like a intermediate to advance class. I realized I was in the wrong class ten minutes into the class. I remember my breath being all over the place and when the teacher went into Warrior 3, I was like “are you kidding me??” there was no way anyone could do that. As I had the thought, I looked around and saw every single student was not only in Warrior 3 but was gracefully balancing.

It was at that moment, I realized two things about myself. I was not in shape, and I need to get in shape. There in that class, I began my journey towards health and fitness. Now when I teach my classes I ensure my students, it’s not about just getting into the pose but very much how you feel in it. The journey towards the pose matters as much as the pose itself. Be patient & compassionate on where you are right now as where you want to be will reveal itself to you.

If you like to work on your health and fitness & know more about yoga classes kindly drop me a DM. Namaste 🙏🏼

Recently, I was asked why I place a lot of emphasis on breathing for my yoga classes. Throughout my class, I will always ask my students to bring their awareness to their breath. There are many reasons as to why I do this, but if your new to yoga and wondering why, to put it simply think of each yoga pose as a brick house. If you just stack the bricks one on top of another without any cement. Yes, your structure may look like a house but one tiny push and the house (pose) comes crumbling down. Think of the cement as your breath, holding your structure (pose) together, connecting you to the pose. Therefore, with each movement you make in class, the breath is there layer by layer holding you together, connecting you with the infinite benefits each pose has to offer. Know that yoga is not about how you look, but how you feel. Do you notice any difference in your yoga classes when you place attention to breath? Share your stories with me 😊

Thoughts, takes experience from the past and projects it into the future leaving no room for the present. Being, allows you to take in what the present moment has to offer. Are you ready to listen? ✨🙏🏼✨
