Good Fear & Gut Health
As I got older, I begun to see that fear is a dynamic that is both negative and positive, depending on how you look at it and how you wish to deal with it. I found that with all fear I've experienced, there are 2 sides - 1 side being fear as a block, the other side being fear as a tool. So rather than moving wooden blocks around, I began to look at my fear as I experienced it (rather than as one huge, all-encompassing collection called "fear") and worked to discover the aspect of it as a tool. In the process, I discovered fear to be intelligent, a valid early-warning system, a link to my higher self trying to get my conscious, sometimes stubborn self to catch on that what I am about to do is not really what I should be doing.
In short, I found that fear plays right into gut instinct, and, at times, it is the dynamic that makes my gut react strongly and accurately to something. I found that fear is like a built-in wise Jewish mother who keeps constant vigilance over my safety and well-being.
