JurongHealth Campus

JurongHealth Campus Known as the JurongHealth Campus, the NTFGH and JCH are members of the NUHS.

The Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH) and Jurong Community Hospital (JCH) are members of the National University Health System (NUHS), a leading academic health system and one of three public healthcare clusters in Singapore. Known as the JurongHealth Campus, NTFGH and JCH are Singapore’s first integrated healthcare development designed and built together from the ground up. Designed around th

e patients’ needs, the twin development enables NTFGH patients who no longer require acute care to be easily transferred to rehabilitate and recuperate in JCH. Both hospitals are also managed by one healthcare team to facilitate integration at all levels to enable better patient care, greater efficiency and convenience. NTFGH is also the first in Singapore and ASEAN to attain HIMSS EMRAM Stage 7, with JCH at HIMSS EMRAM Stage 6 – an achievement which recognises hospitals with the highest level of adoption and utilisation of electronic medical record functions. As part of an integrated academic health system, NTFGH and JCH, in collaboration with partners in the healthcare continuum, aims to transform healthcare to deliver holistic and seamless patient-centred care. Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), also called an enlarged prostate, is a health issue that becomes more common with age. It can cause symptoms such as blocking the flow of urine out of the bladder. It also can cause bladder, urinary tract or kidney problems.

Dr Tan Yi Quan (Associate Consultant, Urology, NTFGH) shares with The Straits Times how a new, minimally invasive surgical therapy for BPH improves urine flow and quality of life, while relieving symptoms without the need for cutting, burning, or removing prostate tissue - https://for.sg/ntfgh-st-bph

As part of the pre-conference programme for the International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare 2025, our Medical Affairs team hosted the workshop “But why did it all make perfect sense at the time? Enhancing incident investigations using Human Factors.”

In line with this year’s forum theme — “Moving together towards sustainable quality” — the session explored how Human Factors can strengthen incident investigations. Participants learned practical approaches to understanding system behaviours, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing meaningful improvements to enhance safety and reliability in healthcare.

Through a dynamic mix of role-playing simulations and interactive discussions, 47 participants— including healthcare professionals from Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Malaysia, discovered how thoughtful design and cross-disciplinary collaboration can lead to better outcomes for both patients and providers.

We’re proud to contribute to the journey leading up to the International Forum, happening 13–15 August 2025 right here in Singapore!

We officially launched the JurongHealth Academy earlier today!

Established in January this year, the Academy aims to be a beacon of excellence in healthcare training and education — equipping our workforce with the skills, knowledge, and competencies to meet the evolving challenges of care delivery.

To mark this milestone, we also kicked off our inaugural Learning Festival — a week-long celebration of knowledge, collaboration, and continuous learning. Staff can look forward to engaging workshops, insightful site visits, and immersive hands-on experiences.

With the JurongHealth Academy, we reaffirm our commitment to excellence in patient care and our shared passion for lifelong learning.

Here’s to shaping the future of healthcare, together!

This year’s National Day theme, “𝗠𝗮𝗷𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗮”, is more than just a phrase from our national anthem — it’s a reminder to reflect on how far we’ve come over the past 60 years, and to look ahead with optimism and resilience.

At JurongHealth Campus, this message strikes a deep chord. From our humble beginnings to becoming today’s vibrant, multi-disciplinary community, we’ve charted our own 𝘔𝘢𝘫𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘩 journey. To celebrate, we invited our staff to pen 60-word reflections on how we have ‘Majulah-ed’ together over the years.

As we mark this special day, we pay tribute to our shared spirit, a reflection of our unity in diversity and a call to proudly fly our flag as one. 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗮, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆! 🇸🇬 🎉

Rolling into SG60 with creativity and cheer! 🇸🇬✨

Our JCH patients had a blast creating vibrant sensory collage art by rolling coloured paper, guided by our passionate Art-on-the-Move volunteers.

Their artworks featured iconic national symbols like the Singapore flag, Merli the Merlion, and the Vanda Miss Joaquim — each piece a heartfelt tribute to Singapore’s 60th birthday.

This special edition of our monthly Art-on-the-Move programme was all about creativity, connection, and celebrating the spirit of Singapore together. Happy National Day! ❤️🎉

We’re extremely proud to celebrate Clarice Wee (Assistant Director of Nursing, NTFGH), recipient of this year’s President’s Award for Nurses!

At NTFGH, she broke new ground as our first Advance Practice Nurse (APN), redefining ICU care, advancing APN practice, and bringing research to the forefront. As Singapore’s first APN credentialed to perform complex Intensive Care Unit (ICU) procedures, she has redefined nursing excellence and advanced the role of nurses in acute care. Her leadership led to Asia’s first APN-led post-ICU clinic and an ICU outreach system that cut readmissions by 20%.

During COVID-19, she led a team to operationalise a 3,000-bed community care facility within three months. A strong advocate for nursing autonomy, Clarice introduced nurse-led protocols that improve clinical decision-making and streamline care delivery. Beyond the bedside, she advances nursing through research, mentors future talent, and supports international education and community outreach efforts. Soon to pursue her Doctor of Nursing Practice, Clarice continues to shape the future of nursing, inspiring the next generation of nurses.

The highest accolade in Singapore’s nursing profession, the President’s Award for Nurses presented by Ministry of Health, Singapore recognises nurses who have shown sustained outstanding performance and contributions to patient care delivery, education, research and administration.

Clarice is one of the three nurses who received the award from President Tharman Shanmugaratnam at a ceremony and reception earlier this evening, where our nurses interacted with the President and Health Minister Ong Ye Kung.

Be inspired by Clarice's nursing journey in this article from The Straits Times - https://for.sg/ntfgh-st-presidents-award-for-nurses-2025

From all of us at JurongHealth Campus — we’re bursting with pride. You’re an inspiration to us all. Way to go, Clarice!

For Leong Kin Seng (Nurse Manager, Ward B9, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital), nursing isn’t just a job but a calling rooted in his personal experience. When he was young, Kin Seng saw how nurses cared for his grandmother with patience and kindness.

Over the years, he’s witnessed many unforgettable moments - but one stood out. A 98-year-old patient was given just 48 hours to live. He shares how the patient held on for 12 days, and was able to see his grandchildren one last time – https://for.sg/nma-2025-kin-seng

While the path isn’t always easy, Kin Seng believes the fulfilment he finds in nursing is unlike anything else. The gratitude of a patient, the impact on a family — those are the moments that make every challenge worthwhile.

This year, we celebrate Kin Seng as a Nurses’ Merit Award recipient from JurongHealth Campus. Presented by Ministry of Health, Singapore, the award honours nurses who go above and beyond in their professional journey.

Thank you, Kin Seng, for standing by patients and families in their most important moments!

Project ENTenna is an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven, multi-year programme that will establish Asia’s first population allergy database focused on Allergic Rhinitis (AR). It aims to enhance the diagnosis and long-term management of AR, a condition that affects 39% of Singaporeans.

Led by NTFGH and supported by National University Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Changi General Hospital and the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), the programme tracks up to 6,000 patients over three years, from 2024 to 2026, using real-world data to guide clinical decisions and support the transition of care from hospitals to the community. The project is implemented with support from Ministry of Health, Singapore’s Health Innovation (MHI) Fund and JurongHealth Fund.

Adjunct Associate Professor Ng Chew Lip, Senior Consultant, Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery (ENT), NTFGH, is the principal investigator of Project ENTenna. In this CNA interview, he shares more about the project - https://for.sg/ntfgh-cna-project-entenna
