What is a Gastric Ulcer?

Ulcer means there is a wound or sore inside your stomach or the first part of your intestine (we call it duodenum).

That place wey suppose soft and protected acid don chop am.

And na that wound dey cause the pain you feel like burning, tightness, or sharp jabs.

So, what causes that wound?

โœ๏ธH. pylori bacteria โ€“ This stubborn germ lives in many peopleโ€™s stomachs and can damage the lining over time.

โœ๏ธPainkillers abuse โ€“ Taking ibuprofen, aspirin, or some herbal drugs anyhow damages the stomach wall.

โœ๏ธSmoking and heavy alcohol consumption

โœ๏ธStress, poor sleep & rough eating habits can make it worse but no be the main cause!

Sitting for long periods has been linked to an increased risk of chronic diseases, including heart disease & type 2 diabetes.

Sitting 6+ hours a day can increase risk of death by up to 40%.

Break-up prolonged sitting with movement: you can then, optimize health, lower your risk & improve your longevity.

Here is a tip that can help you, set the timer /alarm your phone to go off at every 30mins. Once it beeps, get up and stretch your legs , move around for few seconds if you can.
Practice doing this while you are at the office
