Yes, it works: Both antiseptics and 70% alcohol can kill microbes on freshly shaved skin, lowering the risk of infection from small cuts or razor burns.
‼️But… there’s a catch:
• Alcohol stings, dries out the skin, and may cause irritation, redness, or peeling if used regularly.

🔹 Better Options After Shaving😎😊

✅ Mild, alcohol-free aftershave lotions or gels (with soothing agents like aloe vera).
✅ Witch hazel – gentle antiseptic, less irritating.
✅ Moisturizers – keep skin hydrated to reduce razor bumps.

Ar do bad??

Over the Weekend at the Barber Shop…
A man walked in trying to market a group of drugs called sildenafil (popularly known as “man power”). Of course, since this is what most guys these days like to hear, he immediately had everyone’s attention. He was very convincing too—at least at first.

After his talk, I asked him:
👉 “What are the side effects of this drug?”
He boldly replied: “It has no side effects.” 😳

As a pharmacist, I was shocked. There is no drug in the world without side effects! I asked again:
👉 “Can someone with high blood pressure (hypertension) or low blood pressure (hypotension) safely take this medication?”
He confidently said “Yes.”

Finally, I asked:
👉 “What advice would you give to someone who has been taking this medication for a long time? And are there natural ways to boost s*x life without relying on drugs?”
His answer? “Buy first and thank me later.”

At that point, I told him: “How can I buy from you when you can’t even provide vital information? You only focus on selling and money, not the side effects or safety.”
Everyone in the salon turned and looked at me like, “Wus kind guy dis?”

So I pulled out the leaflet from the box and read aloud:
Common side effects include: headache, sleep disturbance, nasal congestion, sudden drop in blood pressure (dangerous for people with low BP), painful/prolonged er****on lasting more than 4 hours (priapism), sudden vision loss, chest pain, etc.

I also explained:
• Avoid mixing sildenafil(man power) with alcohol or recreational drugs
• Not recommended for people with recent heart attack, stroke, severe kidney/liver disease, or uncontrolled blood pressure.
And prolong use of can lead to dependency

Did you know And according to the Pharmacy and Drugs Act 2001, it is a crime to publicly advertise such medicines?

I ended by advising: before taking any medication, consult a Doctor or Pharmacist.
And for better er****ons or s*x drive naturally:
✅ Eat healthy
✅ Cut down on alcohol, to***co, junk food, and sugar
✅ Get enough sleep
✅ Exercise regularly
✅ Manage stress

Everyone thanked me for the update—and the marketer quietly walked out.

A Regular Day at My Pharmacy (Samian pharmacy Mambo junction).
Last week, a lactating mother came into my premises. She wanted to buy drugs for her 2-week-old baby, who she said was crying a lot, had a cold, and a high temperature 🤒.

I asked if she had given the baby any medication. She said no, but explained that she had just come from the hospital where they only prescribed one syrup (paracetamol).

I told her, “Good. Go and give the baby that syrup; it will help.”

She looked unsatisfied and asked, “With all these complaints, why would they give only one syrup?”

I explained:
⚫️Paracetamol will help reduce the fever and ease the discomfort from the cold.
⚫️Once the fever settles, the baby’s appetite and general well-being will improve.

I also reminded her that since it was the same hospital she attended for antenatal care, they had her full medical records. I advised her: “Give the baby the prescribed medicine. If after 5 days there’s no improvement, go back to the hospital.”

At this point, she started suggesting her own prescriptions—blood tonic (anti-anaemic syrup) and even antibiotics “because the baby has a cold.”

I smiled and gently said, “Please don’t buy extra medicines. The syrup prescribed is enough. The right medicine in the right dose is always more effective than taking many unnecessary drugs. Don’t risk overdosing your baby. Always listen to your healthcare providers.”

After a few minutes of discussion, she agreed with me. We laughed, and she went home.

A few days later, she returned with a smile and said, “Doctor, my baby is fine now.”

I thanked God and reminded her again:
Always seek the advice of your doctor before giving medicine to your child.

What Happens If You Don’t Change Your Socks often?

✔️🦠 Bacteria & Fungi Love It – Sweat trapped in dirty socks creates a perfect breeding ground for athlete’s foot, bad odor, and even toenail infections.

✔️🧦 Blisters & Skin Irritation – Damp, dirty socks rub against your skin, leading to blisters, rashes, and cracked heels.

✔️🚷 Fungal Infections Spread – Re-wearing socks without washing them can spread fungus to your nails, between toes, or even into your shoes.

✔️ 🩺 In Severe Cases – Prolonged poor foot hygiene can worsen skin conditions and even lead to foot ulcers in people with diabetes.

🏃 Changing socks daily is cheaper than buying air freshener.
