We cannot fulfill the ROW Foundation mission without our network of global partners. Over the past ten years, we've worked with more than 80 organizations that strive to improve epilepsy care in under-resourced regions.

In Sierra Leone, Healey International Relief Foundation (HIRF) supports compassionate care in partnership with Loreto Health Service Makeni, reaching patients in the city of Makeni and outlying rural areas. Sierra Leone's epilepsy treatment gap is estimated at 90-95% and anti-seizure medications are scarce. Since 2018, we've provided ongoing grants of medication for Loreto programs. HIRF arranges transport of these drugs, as well as for those we grant to other organizations in Sierra Leone.

Epilepsy care is just one aspect of HIRF's work in Sierra Leone, with diverse programming in health systems strengthening, maternal health, women in agriculture, and disaster response. HIRF recently released its 2024 Video Annual Report, available on their YouTube channel. (See link in comments.)

In 2021 we opened our massage and physical therapy center. It has been very successful and our patient visits continue to rise—an over 50% increase from 2021 to 2022. We are pleased that the community is utilizing these services. 🙏
