ACRIF recently concluded an extensive training program on Maternal, Infant, and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN) with 22 senior students and recent graduates from the University of Hargeisa, Somaliland, chosen from the Student nutrition association_ UOH . The training covered vital topics including proper nutrition during pregnancy, optimal breastfeeding practices, effective infant feeding strategies, and the promotion of kitchen gardening. Equipped with this knowledge, the participants are now ready to volunteer in MIYCN counseling, aiming to improve nutrition and health outcomes within their communities. This initiative not only enhances the skills and knowledge of the participants but also contributes to the overall health and well-being of the community by promoting healthy nutrition practices. The dedication and enthusiasm of the participants are expected to bring about positive changes in the maternal, infant, and young child nutrition landscape in hargeisa , Somaliland.
