๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Today, on March 7th, our organization actively participated in the NCD Technical Working Group Quarterly Meeting. The meeting aimed to address challenges and share progress updates regarding NCD services in Somalia.

๐Ÿ’ก Our representatives, Mr. Omar Abdulle Osman (Head of Programs, IRVD Somalia) and Dr. Ahmed Hassan Nur (Center Director, Banadir Dialysis Center), delivered a presentation highlighting our significant contributions to NCD prevention, treatment, and management in Somalia.

The Somalia Health Exhibition Congress 2024 began on March 5th, 2024, with active participation from representatives of IRVD Somalia. The objective of the exhibition is to showcase healthcare services, promote collaboration, share knowledge, raise public awareness, and advocate for supportive policies.

IRVD specifically demonstrated their current healthcare services, with a focus on the free dialysis service at the Banadir Dialysis Center, funded by the Kingsalman Humanitrian Aid and Relief Center.

The exhibition will continue for three days, providing attendees with opportunities to engage with IRVD and other healthcare entities and gain insights into healthcare services in Somalia.

On January 28, 2024, Muqdisho-Somalia. Dr. Muawiye Harsoni, the CEO of the IRVD, participated in a signing ceremony for projects funded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre for the sectors of Health, Education, Water, and Sanitation and will be implemented in Somalia.

During the ceremony, Dr. Muawiye Harsoni, representing the IRVD, and Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, the advisor to the King of Saudi Arabia and General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, jointly signed the operational agreement for the Banadir Dialysis project in Mogadishu, Somalia.

The primary goal of the Banadir Dialysis project is to provide healthcare services and ensure the availability of treatment in Mogadishu specifically for patients suffering from kidney disease and renal failure.
