Last couple of days, I keep coming across posts from fellow doctors strongly condemning what Abdimalik Oldon said about surgical delivery being an NGO (evil)project. I strongly concur with how somali doctors reacted and educated society.
However, we have also not to ignore the fact that Elective cesarean delivery - scheduled operation for nonmedical reasons- rate has increased. And it had a huge impact on patients future pregnancies causing adhesions, placenta previa, the need repeat C section and so on.
I have seen these complications.
What I ask myself is;
why this become a trend now ?
