MARWINA-Women Driving Suriname’s Local Production” 🌟🍚
In Marowijne, Suriname, women work daily with local products like cassava, which is processed into kwak 🍚. This staple food is as important as rice for many people in the interior.
To produce safely and sustainably, professional training is essential 📘✨. That’s why women are taking part in the Basic GMP & Hygiene Training (Part II), learning about food safety, GMP, hygiene, and an introduction to HACCP 🧴👩🍳.
The training is delivered by graduates of the Anton de Kom University of Suriname 🎓, who use their knowledge to strengthen local communities 🤝.
This activity is organized by AçaíBoosters, in collaboration with Stichting Gosontu Pikin Sranan 💜🌿, and sponsored by CFLI. The goal: empower women, professionalize local production, and promote food safety in Suriname’s interior.
💪 Equipped with knowledge and skills, women build not only their own future but also that of their community 🌱🏡. Together, we work towards sustainable development, self-reliance, and pride in local products 🌟🥘.
