To perform clinical responsibilities in absence of clinicians or medical doctor, including diagnosis and treating patients according WHO and MoH guidelines.
Ensure and coordinate all administrative tasks related to patient (all patient records and patient charts, discharge paperwork, record related to transfer of care to other facilities.
Administer medication, assisting and perform nursing and medical procedures, monitoring and reporting changes in patient’s condition to the diagnostician/clinical officer according to the protocol.
Provide leadership to all clinic staff and ensure MOH policies and protocol are adhered to.
Ensure staff maintain a high standard of hygiene including hand washing as per guidelines and cleaning their work area.
Ensure high standard of documentation in health facility.
Reporting any repairs, damages or renovation required to the clinical officer/administrator.
Precisely be responsible for in-patient, dressing and drug management.
Maintain staff and patient’s privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
Ensure good working relationships with co-workers and ensure staff adhere to universal precautions and capacity build them on sterilization of all equipment as per protocol.
Provide health education on hygiene, sanitation, maternal and infants young child practices.
Assist in any area of facility activities as assigned by the clinical officer in charge or administrator.
Attend meetings, workshops and training as required also provide on the job capacity building skills to the facility staff.
