On the 23rd of May, I had the privilege to participate in the UNDP staff retreat program. The event was a profoundly enriching experience that reminded me of the power of human connection, collaboration, and shared purpose. Stepping into a space filled with colleagues from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds, I felt an immediate sense of camaraderie and curiosity. The retreat was not just a break from routine but a meaningful opportunity to build bridges, exchange ideas, and reflect on the collective mission that unites us all, advancing sustainable development and equity.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the day was the chance to forge new friendships and strengthen existing connections. Through team-building activities, open discussions, and informal conversations, I met individuals whose stories and expertise expanded my perspective in different aspects.

Beyond networking, the retreat reignited my appreciation for the interconnectedness of UNDP’s work. Workshops and collaborative exercises demonstrated how innovation thrives when multidisciplinary teams unite around common goals. I left feeling inspired to integrate fresh insights into my own role.

As I reflect, I carry forward a renewed commitment to nurturing these relationships, seeking out diverse perspectives, and approaching challenges with a learner’s mindset. The day was a reminder that even in a vast organization, small moments of connection can spark meaningful change both professionally and personally. I’m eager to channel this energy into my work as UNDP student ambassador and continue growing alongside such an extraordinary community.

It took me 8 years to learn this, I'll teach it to you in 2 minutes:

1. No one’s coming to save you. Get up and be your hero.

2. Never force anyone to choose you. You'll learn the art of spending time alone.

3. Master your emotions. A calm mind can handle any situation.

4. To avoid disappointment, you need to take people for who they are not for what you want them to be.

5. Everyone will show you who they are, give them time.

6. You're at peace with yourself when you mind your own business.

7. Ensure you take good care of yourself, if anything happens to you, the world will move on.

8. Nobody cares, work hard to get better every day.

9. If you don't work to build your dream, someone will hire you and give you a purpose.

10. Free yourself from society's advice, most of them do not know what they're doing.

11. Life doesn't wait for you to be okay. Get up every day and keep pushing through.

12. You shouldn't take advice from people who are not where you want to be in life.

13. Life is 100% better when no one knows anything about you.

14. You become 10x smarter when you quit the news and put politics out of your topics.

15. You need to be smart enough to create your opportunities, don't wait for them to come to you.

Daily tips for a healthy lifestyle or habit ❤️✨

1. Eat a Balanced Diet: Include a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats in your meals. Limit processed foods, sugary snacks, and sodas. Aim for portion control and mindful eating.

2. Stay Hydrated: Drink an adequate amount of water throughout the day to maintain hydration. Carry a water bottle with you and sip water regularly.

3. Engage in Regular Physical Activity: Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity exercise per week. Find activities you enjoy, such as walking, jogging, swimming, dancing, or cycling.

4. Get Sufficient Sleep: Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night. Establish a consistent sleep routine, create a comfortable sleep environment, and practice relaxation techniques before bed.

5. Manage Stress: Find healthy ways to manage stress, such as practicing meditation, deep breathing exercises, yoga, or engaging in hobbies and activities you enjoy. Prioritize self-care and take breaks when needed.

6. Practice Mindful Eating: Pay attention to your body's hunger and fullness cues. Eat slowly, savor your meals, and avoid distractions while eating, such as watching TV or using electronic devices.

7. Limit Screen Time: Reduce the time spent on screens, including smartphones, computers, and televisions. Take regular breaks, practice the 20-20-20 rule (every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds), and engage in offline activities.

8. Maintain a Healthy Weight: Aim for a healthy weight range by following a balanced diet and engaging in regular physical activity. Consult with a healthcare professional for personalized guidance.

9. Stay Connected: Foster meaningful relationships and social connections. Spend time with loved ones, join clubs or organizations, and engage in activities that bring you joy. Social support can positively impact overall well-being.

10. Prioritize Mental Health: Take care of your mental well-being by seeking support when needed, practicing self-compassion, and engaging in activities that promote relaxation and stress relief.

Remember, small, sustainable changes over time can lead to significant improvements in your overall health and well-being
