Before joining Nile Kings Specialist Hospital, Raphael held several key positions that shaped his expertise in logistics, finance, and administration. Since July 2023, he has been serving as Office Manager and Assistant Inspector of Supply and Investment in the office of Hon. Advisor of Marketing at the Ministry of Petroleum,Juba-South Sudan.

He previously worked with international development organizations, including Winrock International, where he served as a Hub Logistics Officer for the Winrock International, Room to Learn (RtL) USAID project in Wau.

(2014–2016), and as a Logistics Officer and Coordinator for the SUDAN BRIDGE project in Kuajok, Warrap State (2009–2013).

Raphael’s career began with Civicon Company Ltd, where he served as Compound Manager and Assistant Administrator from 2006 to 2009, also in Kuajok. His extensive experience in logistics and administration in challenging environments has equipped him with the skills needed to manage complex operations with precision and strategic insight.

Meet Prof. Dr. Ihab: Consultant Internist at Nile Kings Specialist Hospital, Juba

Dr. Ihab’s journey in medicine began with a strong academic foundation. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Khartoum in 1994, followed by a Clinical MD in Internal Medicine from the same institution in 1999. His pursuit of excellence took him to the United States, where he achieved the American Board of Internal Medicine certification in 2003.

From 2003 to 2009, Dr. Ihab served as a hospitalist at Marshfield Clinic in the United States, where he gained extensive clinical experience in managing complex medical cases. Upon his return to Sudan, his expertise was channeled into academia and healthcare leadership.

He was appointed Professor of Medicine at the University of Khartoum, nurturing the next generation of doctors, and later became the Director General of Soba University Hospital, one of the leading teaching hospitals in Sudan. His leadership continued as he assumed the role of Secretary General of the Sudan Medical Specialization Board in 2019, a position in which he oversaw the development of medical training standards across the country.

In 2023, Dr. Ihab joined Nile Kings Specialist Hospital in Juba as a Consultant Internist, bringing with him a wealth of international experience, academic rigor, and clinical expertise. His presence at the hospital has greatly enhanced the level of internal medicine care in South Sudan, offering patients high-quality, evidence-based treatment.
