Here is why you should be careful about taking traditional or harbal medicine,

Many of our local communities still uses & prefers herbal plants or roots of local plants for treatment of common illnesses

While the practice looks normal & cultural, it has many harmful effects to the body( can damage the liver & kidneys)
Because the plants & its roots are taken raw without modern formulation & detoxification process.

Protect yourself , do not take a raw plant on your own though it has a medicinal value , seek first your Doctor’s opinion.

Breastfeeding is not just a mother’s job
It requires everyone’s support
As a community, it’s our obligation to support mothers by:
1). Providing emotional support
2) provides help with household work
3)encourage mothers to keep on breastfeeding even when they face challenges instead of judging them.

While mothers may have concerns over the quality of breastmilk they produced & how that affects their babies growth,

It’s to be noted that breastmilk is naturally designed for the baby & mother’s nutrition minimally affects its contents as they are still drawn from the reserves unless in extreme poor maternal nutrition.

It’s a good sign to produce more milk, whether it looks thin& watery & light.

As a mother , focus more on:
Breastfeeding techniques

1.proper latching , & positioning of the baby
2.Give baby more time on one breast & later change to the next
3. More skin to skin contact
4. Feed the baby frequently & on demand

And if you are worried over the quality of your milk?

1. Be a confident mother
2.Drink enough / good hydration
3. Eat balanced diet ( rich in protein & vitamin
( eggs, fish. Meat, green vegetables & fruits).
4. Have enough rest

If still worried over your baby’s growth?

Then consult with a paediatrician for under-lying factors of failure to growth
