Dear fellow South Sudanese,
I have learned so much in the past few days from the reaction to the song. As a musician, the spirit of my work is to bring people together by singing songs that highlight and profile communities and personalities within our society.
To me, the unity of our people is paramount. Therefore, I appeal to our people to embrace peace among themselves. I hope Dinka and all South Sudanese worldwide will embrace and continue to enjoy the song.
The song is a gift from me to the people of Jonglei.
It was offered out of pure love. I did not intend to interfere with any community's affairs. My intention was only for a pure love and the spirit of peace, and harmony. I pray that a calm sea will spread among the people of Jonglei and return the beautiful smiles that have disappeared from my fans' faces.
