🥖 Do People With Diabetes Need to Avoid ALL Carbs? Let’s Clear This Up.

🎯 Myth: “If you have diabetes, you must cut out carbs completely.”

💡 Fact: Carbs are not the enemy—they’re your body’s main source of energy. What really matters is the type of carbs you eat and how you balance them in your meals.

✅ Complex carbohydrates like:

Quinoa

Brown rice

Sweet potatoes

Beans

Vegetables

Fruits like berries and apples
digest more slowly and have a gentler impact on blood sugar.

🚫 On the other hand, simple carbs like sugary drinks, candy, and white bread can spike your blood sugar quickly and offer little nutrition.

👣 Portion control and pairing carbohydrates with protein and fiber help keep blood sugar and energy levels stable.

So no, you don’t need to go carb-free—just carb-smart! 🙌
