The Elephant Rooms TCI

The Elephant Rooms TCI For our community, the elephant in the room has been mental health, well-being & neurodivergent minds. Welcome to The Elephant Rooms!

Our aim is to no longer ignore this elephant but to embrace it, addressing its needs to strengthen our herd & advocate for its once unheard trumpet. As a collective we had that one special meeting room that we all gravitated to, to share ideas and thoughts. This room was called the elephant room, unbeknownst to us this room would be the birthplace of our practice. Even with the majestic nature of

the elephant it can be sometimes stigmatised, overlooked or even ignored if not placed in the right room. Unfortunately, for our community our elephant in the room was mental health/ wellbeing and neurodivergent minds. Our aim is to no longer ignore our elephant but to embrace it wholeheartedly aiding to its needs to strengthen our herd and to advocate for its once unheard trumpet.

April is Child Abuse Awareness Month 🌍

This year, Elephant Rooms TCI is standing with voices across the world to say: every child deserves safety, dignity, and protection.

Child abuse is not just a private issue, it’s a global one. And awareness is where change begins.

Let’s listen more closely.
Let’s speak up more boldly.
Let’s protect more fiercely.

After 3 incredible years with Elephant Rooms, we say a heartfelt goodbye to Maxcia as she moves on to greener pastures 🌿

As an RBT, Maxcia played a pivotal role in paving the way for our ABA pathway; a legacy that will continue to shape the work we do for years to come. Her dedication to children and families has been unwavering, and the outcomes we’ve witnessed through her work have often left us truly inspired.

Growth is inevitable, and sometimes it calls us to shed our shell and embrace a new one.

Here’s to your new chapter, Maxcia.. wishing you continued success, fulfillment, and impact on your journey 💫

At The Elephant Rooms, we are passionate about supporting mothers through every stage of their journey, and it was an honour for our midwife, Issy, to be part of the Hello Baby Bundle Initiative launch alongside the Turks & Caicos Islands Red Cross and community partners.

Issy was proud to contribute by supporting the development of the bundles and providing breastfeeding guidance, helping ensure mothers receive not only essential items, but also the knowledge and confidence needed in those early days.

The initiative reflects a shared commitment across the islands to improving maternal and newborn wellbeing, and it was inspiring to stand alongside community leaders and advocates including Dr. Denise Braithwaite-Tennant, Candianne Williams, Hon. Kyle Knowles, Hon. Rachel Marshall Taylor, Khloe McKene, Kate Solecki, and Her Excellency Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam.

We’re proud to see initiatives like this making a meaningful difference for families across the Turks and Caicos Islands and cannot wait to further our community engagement and work to improve not only physical but mental health across the Turks and Caicos islands

This month’s free community yoga evening was a beautiful space for restoration, connection, and calm. 🌿

It’s our way of giving back.. creating a safe, welcoming space for both women and men to slow down, connect, meet new people, and recalibrate, while also discovering the wellness support available here in Providenciales.

If you’d like to join next month’s session, we’d love to have you, just reach out 🤍

And as always, feel free to get in touch with The Elephant Rooms for any enquiries about sessions with our clinical practitioners
