"MuayThai Fight 4 Life Part 4 The Final Chapter of A 3 Year Campaign To Promote Positive Mental Heath Through the Art Of Muay Thai Promo Video"

We sponsored a fighter to represent the sport at an elite level ,chosen through the process of elimination and had followed Micky O Grady from his first 4 man win back in April 2105 ,to Patong and back to a rematch with his fellow team mate Barry O Niell, So the prize was to be a return trip to SRR Muay Thai in Rayong, Thailand and onto Australia to fight on Gary Odine's Respect show,In Bunbury, Western Australia as I myself became the ambassador for how the sport can drastically improve your health both physically and mentally

We had a chance to speak to Shine A Light Su***de Awareness and Stephen Murphy in Cork about our message at a charity race night we hoisted at the The Ferryboat Inn , and our message continued to Perth as we spoke to the 'Legend of Perth Combat Sports' Doctor Paddy Golden on the positive mental health aspects of the sport and how the sport had come in for heavy criticism by the Australian Government and also our aim to shed a positive light on the art of Muay Thai,

As well as taking in another visit to Patong Stadium Gym and a weeks training at the world renowned The Thai Boxing Pit home of living legends Blair and Toby Smith ,
Bankok contained Micky O Grady Fighting in another 4man Eliminator on the Onesongchai Golden Gloves PPTV Promotion ,Representing, SRR Muay Thai Rayong and under the tutelage of Pachara Neampha and another living legend Diselnoi Chor Thanasukarn ,

The MuayThai Fight 4 Life project is now complete, pending the release of part 4 of the documentary series

just a quick post from a personal perspective .

Defiantly the most rewarding part of the project from a personal point of view was having the chance to take young talented fighters to Thailand (the mother land of Muay Thai) and watching them flourish.

This is something i hope and intend to do for as long as life will allow me to, and I'm glad to be able to team up once again with SRR Muay Thai Gym in Rayong, Thailand, to sponsor a real up and coming prospect in Niall Durkan .

I had The Pleasure of training with Nial (who trains and fights out of the The MUAY THAI Clinic in London England under Chris Carley and Shane O'Neill) last year and his talent stood out straight away. A humble grace he carries outside the ring, and a deadly clinical south paw style, Niall scored the Ko of the day with a perfectly timed head kick at an inter-club day we shared last year and has gone from strength to strength and most recently came away from his debut on the Muay Thai Grand Prix a couple of months back with a convincing points win.

Id like to thank P Nok and P Tun from Srr Muay Thai for once again Trusting me to go with this sponsorship and am really looking forward to watching Niall's journey over the next 4 weeks , where he will fly the flag for Srr Muay Thai Gym on the MAX Muay Thai promotion in Pattaya

Finally although the Fight 4life su***de awareness campaign is now complete, this work is still been continued by sandy who is running the Quandamooka Cup - Su***de Prevention Charity Fights cup in Queensland Australia, now in its second year. I have myself penciled in to take part on this show in some capacity , Give the Quandamooka Cup - Su***de Prevention Charity Fights page a like to keep up with their night and project, promoting su***de awareness, through the sport of Muay Thai

Its with great pleasure that we can finally bring to you the third instalment of the Muay Thai fight 4life documentary series

Part 3 a Feature lenght special Produced by DeepRed Productions Cork, goes on to follow irish fighters Micky O Grady and Barry O Neill from their winning performances in the fight 4life, 4 man eliminator tournament hosted on Cobra Thai Show in Cork the previous April.

The lads travel as team mates and are joined by James Annett ( White Collar MuayThai Fight 4 Life WA) and young Irish prospect Cailim O Callaghan on a trip of a lifetime to train and fight out of the Patong Stadium Gym in Phuket, Thailand and onto their return in which a rematch of the fight 4life final, seen both guys put in a contender for "Irish" fight of the year performance on a Siam Warriors Cork super show

Our campaign set out with a message to promote the positive mental health benefits that come from training in the sport and i found myself being the ambassador for that message within the campaign, being able to vouch for the positive mental health impact, that a training camp can bring

All and all our 1st trip to Thailand was a huge success friendships were made and a lot of fun was had by all, this is something i think was captured really well by the guys at Deep Red who must take a huge deal of credit for delivering us what is now a completed feature film, one that we are extremely proud , all of which was done on a complete voluntary basis , so thanks again guys

Please take time to give it a watch and a share as we aim to appeal and take our message to people beyond the fight community

Huge thank you to everyone that was involved in this production in any way with a special mention to Trainers and staff at Patong Stadium Gym and also a special thank you to Cork music legends FIRE & WATER for lending us there hit song 'Heatwave' to be used as a soundtrack (check it out in the closing credits) available from I Tunes

last but not least a special mention to the Shine A Light Su***de Awareness group in cork for having the faith to back the project. Shine A Light are a voluntary group who rely on donations in order to carry out the important work they do with promoting positive mental health awareness and su***de prevention.

If anyone would like to make a donation to shine a light on behalf of our project, can contact us on here via message contact the guys direct via there page

The Muay Thai Fight 4life documentary series commenced with the build up to our 1st event hosted on the Cobra Muay Thai Event 3,
As we set out to find the right fighters to represent our campaign on a trip to train and fight in Thailand the following August. This would be done by way of a 4 man eliminator tournament!!

We were also allowed to go behind the scenes with our supporting charity Shine A Light Su***de and Mental health Awareness as they spoke with us of the message they hope to spread that talking and opening up on your problems is a sign of strength and not a sign of weekness and they believed that the Muay Thai Community would be ideal to help get this message accross.

It wasn't an easy task to convince a su***de/mental health awareness group how a combat sport such as muay Thai could have positive affects on peoples mental health and how this message could ultimitly save someone's life , this was some something that I had witnessed myself on countless occasions from training at different gyms around the world over the years and also reigned through also for myself on a personal level

Check out our page this Christmas day to follow the campaign to Thailand ,with a show hosted by The Patong Stadium Gym on world Su***de Awareness Day as the documentary series rolls on
