I believe that nutrition, movement, and mindset are the primary prescriptions for wellness. I’m Dr. Danielle, a full-time board certified Family Medicine physician, overtime wife, and always-on-call mommy. When we’re not traveling the globe I love to create delicious and healthyish eats and treats in the kitchen. And in our family, we value sitting together for dinner. Your kids won’t eat veggies? Start here⤵️

Most of my adult patients tell me they eat ½ cup or less of vegetables a day.
Half. A. Cup. 😳

And then they wonder why their kids won’t touch a veggie.

Here’s your loving reminder: our kids become what we repeatedly model — not just with food, but with movement, mindset, kindness…the whole package.

So yes, I keep offering veggies. Yes, my boys still give me the “no thank you”

And ALSO yes… there are always carrots 🥕 in the fridge as the backup plan.

Because we’re not aiming for perfection — we’re aiming for consistency, exposure, and that 1% shift that adds up over time.

You take the tiniest step forward, your kids see it…

…and before you know it, the whole family’s needle moves.

Momming isn’t perfect...

As a physician, I’ll never tell you to cut out the “villainized” foods. Wellness is bigger than that—movement, connection, relationships. Today we’re cheering on our alma mater and connecting with family and friends. 🌧️🏈

Plants were eaten.
Those count. 🌱

Nobody wants soupy guacamole! How I keep it thicc ⤵️

✅ Skip the tomatoes and onions
✅ Pick avocados that barely give to thumb pressure
✅ Undermix so you can adjust to taste

Because it’s guac, not salsa—and definitely not soup.

While the carrots I sliced are chillin in the fridge....

And yes I've reminded husband and boys of said carrots

It's exhausting

But if they weren't in the fridge it's ZERO percent chance they'll eat them

So one can hope.......
