I'm Sharif (nick. Jacob), part owner of Mum's Keto Foods, and Buff Buddha Enhanced. Here are a few reasons why a keto meal plan is still the number one eating plan I recommend to my clients after more than 15 years of high level coaching and training experience.
1. It is consistently the most reliable diet to get clients to their goal weight with the least effort.(Yes, I've tried multiple different eating plans in the past including IIFYM, OMAD, Carb Backloading, IF, Calorie Counting, and even low fat diets at the beginning of my training career)
2. It is the easiest eating style to maintain long term. Getting clients to their weight loss goal is usually only the first half of the challenge. Maintaining their results long term without constant backsliding, inconvenience and struggle is the second half.
3. Keto foods simply taste great. Ask any chef and most will tell you that real, natural saturated fat, is what carries the flavour in most dishes.
4. Overall health improvement. Scientifically, every day we are learning of more and more of the health benefits of insulin controlled diets / being in ketosis much of the time, from brain health (keto diets being used to treat epilepsy, alzheimers, & dementia) to improved insulin sensitivity & T2 diabetes reversal, increased health and lifespan, and improved heart health.
