Thank you all for your continuous support and interest in our team, SMO Candidate Life # 2. As our final word we strongly urge you to exercise your vote tomorrow June 3rd as well as the 4th and choose the candidate who best represents you. The future of MUIC is in your hands and we encourage you to be informed before making a decision. Our page will be inactive from now as per election regulation, but feel free to look up our policies and our profiles. We hope that we will be able to serve you and make MUIC, our home, the best it can be. :)

Wi-Fi has become a necessity for MUIC students whether it’s for searching information, getting updates on events, keeping in touch with friends or gaming to relax from studies. However, not all places in MUIC receive a strong connection from either MU Wi-Fi or IC Wi-Fi. Despite the fact that many classes require the usage of Wi-Fi to access information, many classrooms have a very low signal or no connection at all. Therefore as a part of our policies, we would like to improve the IC Wi-Fi’s connection to cover all areas in MUIC as it should.

Info Salaya provides an easy-to-understand guide containing information about our campus and Salaya area such as recommended restaurant, detail about each dorm, and attraction sites. You can access this guide through online methods such as facebook and MUIC website. In addition, the guide will be available around MUIC in areas such as lobby, SMO room, and student board. Hence, Info Salaya will help current students, freshmen and especially foreigners to know more about our campus and the Salaya area.

Every university needs an information center. Student Board, situated in key areas such as canteen front and Lobby, will allows students to have a center to come and check on the latest activities and opportunities around the campus. Advertisement from students’ or university’s business can be posted on this board, as well as clubs’ activities, official notices, products ads, and updates on SMO’s projects. The requesting process for posting in the Student Board will be simpler than the one for the various posting spots in MUIC, allowing faster and easier posting procedure.

Running has become a trend for people of all ages due to requiring a minimal amount of gear and easily accessible. Mahidol University (Salaya campus) boasts one of the most beautiful atmospheres and scenery suited for running and jogging in Thailand. Hence, we would like to initiate a new project through organizing the 1st MUIC Charity Mini Marathon. In a mini marathon event, it consists of two main categories, a 10km run and a 4km walk. We aim for the event to be a community-size open event where everyone is welcomed to join. The money raised through this event will be donated to charities of various causes such as the handicapped.

Let ‘em Show is an opportunity for new club members to show their skills and ideas and also an opportunity for club to raise funds for club uses. In every trimester, clubs often experience with a large amount of turnover of new member due to lacking of opportunities for new member to get involve in. This event would serve as a goal for clubs to get new members to become more involve with their clubs. Beside performances, we also have alternatives for clubs that do not wish to perform. Space and boards will be provided for clubs who wish to organize exhibitions to reflect their club’s talent such as art or photo exhibition. However, we are aware that not all clubs can do a performance or organize an exhibition. Hence, there will also be opportunity for clubs to set up booth and sell food or goods to raise money for their clubs. Lastly, people who are not associated with any clubs are also welcome to perform and show their talent as well.
